You can things make it a lot easier. If you just attach directly to the bottom to the spinning pole a regular 24 v dc motor and while it spins produces your required electricity instead of going by making the vawt and can be easily be removed for replacement or repairs. But its up to you pick..this just another idea too consider.
Looks Awesome. I built a Lenz 2 a few years ago. Wobble and vibration caused me the most grief. Eventually the bearings wore enough that the the top rotor started cutting into the stator. It's down now and I'm rethinking the whole bearing thing.
You wings look Great! Keep the videos coming as you progress. Thanks.
wings look great. If you have a problem with wobble you can probably extend the pole up past the wings far enough to attach a few guy wires. If it's high enough the wire should clear the wing tops. It will run slower with the alternator under load. Is that a 4 ft. X 3 ft. ?
looks great way to go now get that stator done !!!!!!! I just put up the pole for mine so by the end of week i will have it going and I to can blind the people around me lol

Thanks!! Only in a deal that i struck with my local council i had to make the wings only 40cm high!!
I made the changes and mounted them on top of a cieling with 36 of the magnets that i ordererd and came back the wrong size (mini lenz magnets).
And it works very wel only the council won`t let me put it on the roof....Aarggggg!!!!!!!!!!1

Hi There,
Thanx for tip,
This one measure`s 100cm high x 85cm diameter. I`ve made the altenator and now waiting desperately for my tax return so the magnets can be orderd!
