The battery life SUCKS even with GPS off. It died on me within a hour. Yes, the battery is removable so you can put a spare in.

Ive heard the GPS function on this camera eats the battery charge pretty quickly. Is it possible to disable/ switch off the GPS function? Also, is the battery removable from the camera, ie can one carry a spare battery?

@AlfredTupper Hi! The answers are yes and no, respectively. Of course it is possible to switch off the GPS, but I haven't noticed that the camera lasts longer with GPS off. Anyhow, you cannot remove the battery, this is definitely the disadvantage of this camera.

@yamamutoful I believe it's for as much space as your memory card can hold. The bigger the memory card the longer you can record. No limit :) Well to an extent of course haha.
