Marty, I'm a big fan, and I've been trying to really find out just how good the les paul traditional plus sounds rock-wise. I can't get ot any shops close by i live in the boonies lol, so I was wondering if you could put an awesome review playing through that fender amp you did for the gibson les paul custom alpine white and the les paul standard. i want you to karate chop an A power chord uk? PLEASE IT'D help so much. Thanks man!!! I appreciate your lessons and amazing guitar work. thank you!
Hey Marty, I've been following your videos for a while now. Your lessons have been indispensable, so thank you so very much for them. But I was wondering, do you have any albums out or are in the process of recording one? I'd love to just hear you jam.
i'm amazed, really. That's what's the best of 'all blues' for 2 guitars. I'm gonna start learning both solos. Maybe you could put some tutorial (Bob as well!) for it. Bunch of great licks, interesting stuff for 9th and10th bar. GREAT
Hey Marty big fan of your music man I'm a guitar player myself and enjoy playing along with your videos...thanks for the lessons and much needed help. peace....
i love this type of jam where one plays rhythm while the other plays lead. and then in the middle of the song they swap. i wish i could find more jams like this if any one has any recommendations please reply.
This is actually jazz mate. The name of the song is 'All Blues'. If you want to learn this style, you should check Marty's videos on Jazz chords and others on melodic minor scales and arpeggios. Hope that helps, although I'm sure Marty will get at you soon enough.
Nice! marty i just signed up for the free trial on your site and am loving it! wondering if you could make a vid for Crush by David Archuleta on youtube!
so im workin at this bar... and playing this tune quite loud all day while its slow...
people were entering and looking inside like where is the band? they were expecting to see like a few suited black guys jamming... that was so awesome!!
@martyzsongs Hey Marty great choice of cover I was just learning So What last week and now trying to get Wes's 4on6 down :) Can you tell me where the Bb fits? I hear and see G7-C-F-C and D7#9/Eb7#9.
About which scale.. I'm curious myself. Gmixo (G A B C D E F)? It'd fit except the b6-Eb7#9 (Eb F F# G C#) iseems to be outside tension chord that contains only the G root and F(#9/ m3 part). I guess what I'm asking is how did you solo over the Eb7#9.. do you just play Gminor (G A Bb C D Eb F)?
Awesome Jam Marty, FYI I'm half way through your Blues Domination and Acoustic blues DVD, they are absolutely awesome!!! I even learned alot out of your beginner blues dvd's that came with the package ( I consider myself a intermediate player). You are such an awesome teacher, you really took me to the next level!!! Your style of teaching has helped me to improvise more, make up my own songs, and I'm starting to transcribe by ear, something I never thought I'd ever be able to do!!!
nice jam guys! Marty i was wondering if you were coming out with a new licks dvd? i thought i heard u mention it in one of your youtube vids maybe a month or two ago or maybe i was just dreamin.. anyways thanks for all the help n can't wait to practice later on today!
Marty I love What Youre doin , and i have a request: Myxomytosis By Radiohead Its Gaoota sick riff. Plus theres no other good videos on the tube:) So please take this into consideration:)
that was awesome... marty's solo this time seems a bit better than some of his other stuff ive heard, and bob ryan's rhythm work was amazing... although i am a bit curious as to why marty was playing rhythm with the bridge pickup?
@timm63 last 2 weeks, I have been recording a new set of jamtracks and also a chords and rhythm guitar dvd set. lots of new youtube stuff next week!!!
@IncrediguyPro it depends on the bridge its is easy to find tremolo compatible bridge for les paul or you can get a vibrato bigsby, is the best, but you might need to drill a few holes which is scary to me
Yes! Definitely feeling this one. Great job!
