  • @SOLINA67 Try this one instead youtube.com/watch?v=-7Btk8IR7vI

  • Thanks a lot !! for your help

I hope I can get finally

    I love brioche stich

    Have a great day

    Maritate

  • Thank you very much for replying

I am still working on this stich....

  • beautifull, very very nice!

  • Wonderful mixture of colors here

  • how do you get the colors to change?

  • that looks delicious!

  • Thanks for not speaking during the video, I'd learn more without it. But.. I need to know if you cast on an even or odd number of stitches.

  • @riesshel Working in the round like this, I always do an even number and add the yarn overs on the first pattern row. Working flat, I always do an odd number so the pattern is centered with a knit stitch anchoring each side.

  • @djinnj And now that you say it, all I can say to myself is "well, duh"

It should have been obvious to me, but I appreciate your answer. Thanks!

  • what do you do as your set-up round?

  • @ursulasauer I have 2 more recent videos that are better. "2 Color Brioche Stitch in the round - crochet cast-on and set up round" is the first one and "2 Color Brioche Stitch in the round - the pattern repeat" is the second one.

  • lindo punto pero cómo se inicia

  • Muy lindo el punto y el color es precioso , muchas gracias por compartir,te saluda desde peru.

  • I wish I could see hoe did u cast on! I'm curious because you are mixing many technics : circular kniting & 2 yarns together. Tks :-)

  • make a video on how to start this project please.

  • uta y como empieza y como termina? por eso entramos a la pag. y luego muda, que le pasa?

  • the video looks great but it would be so much more helpful if you could actually speak and say what you're doing. Either that or put the instructions in the info section.

  • Very pretty, thanks for sharing!

  • Side one looks like yo, sl1p, k2tog* What is done on the reverse side?

  • How do u start this ? (: i love this stich !

  • @superjoellx3 lion brand triple ruff

  • do you cast on the two yarns together???

  • No, I use a loose cast on in one color and I bind off (loosely) in that same color, so the edges match.

  • @djinnj

Could you please explain how do you start this stich ( 1st row) I tried with even and uneven amount of stiches and I stil have problems

    Thanks

  • @maritate I have another clip where I show the crochet cast-on I often use. But when I cast on for this in the round, I always start with an even number of stitches and increase on the first pattern row with the yarn overs. Recently, I worked a long tail cast-on in 2 colors, alternating a stitch in either color and again casting on an even number; it worked fine. "2 Color Brioche Stitch in the round - crochet cast-on and set up round" is the other video. youtube.com/watch?v=-7Btk8IR7vI

  • @djinnj Dear knitter

I have been trying this nice stich but I can't do it because I don't know how you started

The tutorial I found in another web sites are diferent.

    I love your style

Could you please send me the pattern of your version of "Two colors Brioche stich"?

    I will be very grateful

    Maritate

  • @maritate There is no pattern. I cast on an even number of stitches in something that will stretch enough to accommodate the stretchiness of the stitch pattern, and the on the set up row I increase the stitches by half. Please look at the other video, I show how to cast on and then set up the first pattern row. (this one: youtube.com/watch?v=-7Btk8IR7vI), and then there's a second video where I show the pattern repeat. (this one: youtube.com/watch?v=ruDGqG7DAeA)

  • A little more info please! I would appreciate it!

  • @tr1shapumk1n lion brand tyriple ruff

  • This two-color brioche stich can be knitted only in round works??

  • This vid would benefit sooooo much from a little stich-by-stich commentary

  • too fast .. cant catch up... :(

  • Is the pattern a "sl 1 purlwise, p2tog"? How did you cast on with 2 colors?

  • THAT LOOKS HARD TO DO

  • i really want to do that knitting, but how to start it?

  • me too !!

  • How do you get such a loose gauge? Mine always ends up ridiculously tight, I've been wondering if it was my yarn or needle sizes but I just don't know...

  • Prime Rib / Brioche Stitch

  • This is soo smart. Thank you so much for sharing :)

  • what's for?

  • and that ring/??

  • the ring is to show where u started a row of knitting. important to know if ur knitting anyting except a scarf!!!

  • speak please. English prefered

  • I wish you would say what you were doing

  • =( i planning to knit that kind of pattern but the thing is dat my string is "already" 3 colored n when i knit d color is mixed up but when i see knitting shops their is like this do you know how 2 keep then in d same line of color? tyy p.s : im sort of a beginner

  • To get the vertical stripes of color, it has to be worked with 2 solid color yarns instead of 1 multicolor yarn. The stripes come from the stitch pattern. If you use a multicolor yarn, you will get the muddied effect you've been seeing. Have you considered using a solid, complimentary yarn with the multicolor? Then you'll get solid vertical stripes and multicolor vertical stripes.

  • this would make a terrific scarf

  • thank you !

  • thank you so much for this vid hope ya do more
