  • I REMEMBER watching BOBBY VAN on TATTLE-TALES with his wife Elaine Joyce and HOST Burt Convy! In THATS ENTERTAINMENT Bobby does this impressive number where he HOPs all the way through town! WHAT MOVIE IS THAT FROM?

  • Disneyland Records released its version of "The World is a Circle", "Living Together, Growing Together" and "Question Me an Answer" after the movie came out, and the arrangements (by Buddy Baker) are just as great. Made me appreciate the movie when I saw it after hearing the album.

  • volto a ser crianca novamente choro me emociono o passado ainda vive no meu interior aceso flamejante vivo tenho um filho de sete anos o caua quero ensinalo desde cedo a nunca deixar de ser crianca . acreditem na vida . luiz roberto.

  • Getting the children to dance along with Bobby Van in this song is a stroke of genius. Melodious, Entertaining & Wonderful is what this movie clip is all about. Thanks for posting.

  • I thought I was the only person who loved this movie...lol.I have to find the soundtrack so I can enjoy these songs all over again. Thanks for posting this :)

  • Bobby Van was a total doll, and so cute :) He had the sweetest smile. I wish he had lived a lot longer. I remember how sad I was when I heard he had passed away.

  • I want to say thank you so very much for posting this! This was a very special musical to my mother and me! I was tickled to find it here!

    Lorena - Brazil

  • anyone know the actor who sings this song, I have long ago forgotten. still one of my favorites, not enough of these old gems around anymore, THANKS FOR THIS !

  • I recorded this off the television when it aired once on a Pennsylvania TV station in 1999. I loved Bobby Van too. He had such a youthful grin and mountains of charisma. I was a mere 13 when this movie came out and I was totally smitten!

  • This was such a fun movie...please release it on dvd. So many people, like me, would love to own it. Thank you.

  • I saw the musical Lost Horizon when I was a little girl and I loved it then and I love seeing these videos now. Someone needs to release the movie. I know at least 10 or 12 people that would love to own. The music is great.

  • thanks for sharing, this was one of the songs i remember when i was a kid, great song...

  • thanks for posting this. i haven't heard this since i was a kid and i'm surprised that i actually had the melody and lyrics correct even though 1492 and babe ruth seemed off!!!

  • Bobby Van died way too early and we lost a great performer as a result. I've always loved this song from Lost Horizon.

  • Here's the thing: I would LOVE Margret Cho's Blessing. If she hates it, I just might die.

  • Anyone remember the infamous fertility sequence. I would like to hear about if from the people who saw it at the premiere.

  • I miss Bobby Van.. He was a total triple threat!

  • Thank you for posting this. I love this Burt Bacharach song :)

  • :) happy

  • This was the best movie EVER!!!

  • BRAVO! Those b*str*ds better release this. Solid soundtrack, PLUS wasn't this gr8t : Bobby Van's last stand! (he died Way Too Young!) I'm cryin' ...

  • best movie ever!!!

  • Any word if Sony/Columbia will release Lost Horizon on DVD and/or Blu-Ray?

  • the best movie I ever watched in my entire life ... great songs

  • This is awesome! I was singing this song this evening and couldn't remember all the words. I had a record of mixed songs when I was a kid and this was my favorite one on the album. Of course my parents got rid of it after I went off to college. Thanks for posting this. It brings back great memories!

  • You can buy the CD of Lost Horizon on Amazon!

  • 1492 - Babe Ruth wasn't born yet!

  • ... I think that's the whole point of asking the question after the answer has been given.

  • Bobby Van was great in this movie and it's a shame he never got to capitalize on this. We lost a very sunny personality when Bobby died.

  • Wow! Thanks for the post! I had the biggest crush on Bobby from age eight til probably age sixteen which is about the time he battled brain cancer... he was on whatever talk show and started looking really ill. He handled is with dignity as it seems he did his life. My parents were so amused with my crush on Bobby Van that when he came to a local theater in the round, they bought tickets to go see him! All this video does is fill me with great memories and makes me feel 12 again, so ty!!!!

  • great song!! This could also be the theme for Jeopardy

  • I never saw Lost Horizon but the song would be perfect for Jeopardy fans like me.

  • Carnac (Johnny Carson's character from the Tonight Show Carson years) he's not!

  • More of a Jeopardy! tune to me.

  • I wish the 1973 Lost Horizon musical movie was released on DVD and Blu-Ray if Sony gets a green light.

I also wish the 1973 Lost Horizon musical movie was turned into a Broadway stage musical.

  • Bobby Van was great... I was only a kid when he was on make me laugh but remember him from this movie...

  • This movie IS available on DVD on ebay. It is a transfer from laserdisc. I have a copy.

  • Bobby Van reminds me a little of Ray Bolger. Sorry to see Bobby go at age 51.

  • Dig the GROOVY Duds, man.

  • This movie is available:

    rsunforgettablemovies . blogspot . com

  • I don't going make more comentary ,It's FANTASTIC ,thanks for this video, São Paulo, brazil

  • His wife (Elaine Joyce) did the 1986 Dating Game for a short time, before being replaced by Jeff MacGregor.

So they were the 2nd husband-wife game show hosts (next to Allen Ludden & Betty White).

  • My entire family loves this movie.

Nice to see there are fans of Lost Horizon out there.

  • You can find this on dvd.

  • i actually have the original 45 vynil with The World Is A Cicle on one side and this on the other it ahs always been a favourite song of mine , as for the film i was probably 30 when i saw it first!!! and was annoyed to find it on at 3 in the morn coz the review was so bad ,, it's a beautiful film i don't care what anyone says

  • the problem with this movie was they should have made'Shangra-La' more oppulant -

  • Bobby Van died too young. I loved this movie. Is this available on DVD?

  • This movie is not available on DVD. It was remastered on Laser disc and transferred to VHS by some sellers on ebay.

  • Did you record all the songs? I wish I had

the entire musical. It is truly one of my favorites. I was so happy when I found it here. Thanks

  • No I did not...

  • I love this movie. It never received the credit it deserved.

  • This is so true...

  • Say what you want about the 73' version of LOST HORIZON. It has the distinction of being the only ANTI-WAR MUSICAL FANTASY ever produced. Perhaps THE LITTLE PRINCE is another, but LH has a strong story and the Bacharach/David music makes it unique from your standard Rodgers and Hammerstein/ MGM film musical. It's different and quirky and beautiful to look at.

  • An excellent musical.

  • I´m looking for the song that Liv and Olivia sang toghether in the film. What´s the name? Reflect something....I love that song and I love Burt Bachara.

  • Thanks for stopping by...

  • The Reflections" song you're thinking of was Liv Ullman to George Kennedy at the brook. The song Liv and Olivia Hussey sang in the library was "The Things I Will Not Miss."

  • "Reflections" was sung by Sally Kellerman.

  • who is this actor and singer singing question me an answer

  • He's an underrated actor and performer the late, Bobby Van. He was the Gene Kelly of his time.

  • I wouldn't say up to the level of Gene Kelly in either ability or popularity, but he was one of the great classic "song-and-dance men" that are a fading breed.

  • if anything, better than gene...close to it. he had allot of energy. true he is part of a fading breed but i agree with edex7

  • The great Bobby Van :)

  • the best musical and best soundtrack ever!! i own the cd soundtrack. too bad this movie is not available on dvd.

  • I love this movie. I watched it on tv 3 or 4 yrs after it was released, when I was 7 or 8 and it still is a beautiful movie for me. I think it just came out at the wrong time that's why it did bad in the tills. For me it's one of the classics.

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • I've watched when I was eight, and got such impact back then, and of course I ask my dad for the sound track record, which I got till this day.Great songs for a tender movie.

  • thanks for the visit.

  • I saw this when I was 12. I thought it was great

  • I also saw it many years ago, great musical.

  • Great film that was very underestimated. In my humble opinion it should be up there alongside South Pacific, Mary Poppins, Paint your Wagon. Get the picture?

  • 100% true!

  • Thank you for posting this. I still remember asking my mom to allow me to watch the movie a 2nd time. She said "no", but as soon as the album came out, I was one of the first at the store.

  • Very nice musical.

  • He´s so cute, hehehe!

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • I love that movie. What´s the name of that actor?

  • Bobby Van

  • Thanks.

  • I did want to say thanks for posting this it is really cool to be able to watch this again. I thought this show just aired on tv and was not in the theatres. I could be wrong about that but I do remember watching it. Brings back memories thank you. We put our bulldog on the tv for better reception.

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • It is from the movie Lost Horizon. I remember because I was a kid back then and my brother and I thought this dude was a real dork.

  • As you can see he wasn't...

  • Um, no. You can see it pretty clearly.

  • Great mmovie isn't it?

  • This is fun, where is it from?

  • This is from the 1973 movie musical "Lost Horizon" It's a beautiful movie and very hard to find. It's "Out of Print". I recorded this song many years ago. I hope you liked it...
