This workout is terrible for building any type of muscle strength...controlled movements develop the best strength and muscle definition. What the heck with the pull not ups?
I really enjoy training crossfit, it's really beneficial for me in variety of ways.. but the only thing I'm not to joyful about is the way of doing pulls.. Of course they have their reasons for it, but I still prefer the strict way of doing them..
Oh man this is tiresome. Every time I look at a Crossfit video that has kipping pullups some ignorant 'try hard' says something like "the pullups look retarded" or "they are not pullups they are bounce up".
I suppose for you lot there is just one type of pullup. One type of pushup. One type of squat.
@DoblyTufnell You can't blame em they do look silly. I do crossfit but when I have to do pullups I do em traditionally they are actually a lot harder. When you reach your max you gotta rest a bit when doing the traditional pullup, that's fine. Another reason I don't do kips is because it toasts your hands.
@TihslluB3 It's called a kip-up and when you can do a total of 150 of them in less than 30 minutes while running 4000 meters and performing 150 kettlbell swings with a 70lb kettlebell, then you can talk shit. Until then, fuck off troll.
@TihslluB3 Do the research. They are actually called kipping pull ups, and used because crossfit is not only fitness, but a sport, so when people compete they try to do things as fast as possible, but still with some kind of form. These are also used in gymnastics training, and gymnastics is also a part in the mix that creates crossfit. But in crossfit forums they are simply called pull ups, because who the fuck wants to write or say kipping pull ups every time.

@TihslluB3 Called Kipping, and if you research it is actually a better workout than strict pullups because you work your entire body rather than just your arms and back... FYI I guess
@PantieShots How many people do you know that can do 5 rounds of 30 strict pull-ups? Knocking the number down to some more reasonable like 5 or 10 would allow for strict pull-ups but would lose an element of the workout referred to as "Muscular Endurance"
@TheSavanto Called Kipping, and if you research it is actually a better workout than strict pullups because you work your entire body rather than just your arms and back... FYI I guess
cborigo16.....your an idiot. And it's easy to call someone a faggot (not phaggot) behind a computer screen. Crossfit athletes are truly the fittest people on earth.
@lizaroni0684 arrogant responses like that is why CF is hated. These so called "Elite Athletes" and their cocky attitude is why their is so much hate. The website promotes this bs too that their the best athletes.
oh and p.s you all look like crap. try adhering to tried and tested fitness regimes and you'll see results, fuck this crap, it'll get you know where other than getting injured and looking like an idiot.
@SprUnknown So lets se a video of you doing some "real" training then. No matter the sport he/she practices, it is always nice to see a true professional in action.
Oh, and p.s, i'm working in a light infantry battalion, and the strongest people that i know are avid crossfitters.
@SprUnknown "Run 800 meters? Yeah because that's going to beneficial."...are you retarded? You cant see the benefit in running a half mile? I didnt bother reading the rest of your post because you clearly have no idea about fitness.
@cborigo16 Haha yeah and just saw "back injury goals". Sure, KB swings are unsafe, thats why they have been done for hundreds of years by the Russians. I guess if you are used to working out on machines, a functional movement that requires more than a single muscle group might seem daunting LOL.
@cborigo16 stupid phaggot im in the army boxing team i can run 800m backwards without breaking a sweat. if i say these regime is ineffective and bollocks you better believe it faggot.
@SprUnknown yup you definitely seem like the type of person who would know what their talking about, cuz every troll always knows what their talking about, especially the one on the armies special troll squad.
I did this before (Except I had 20 pull-ups (and some with a resistance band towards my later reps) and I'm about 217-18lbs. I came in at 35:04, but If I hit it like them, I prob would be around 45-50 minutes. Word of caution people. This workout is BRUTAL.....just an FYI
@Mofl0611 u forgot 5 rounds of it, lol. And because everyone that does crossfit has this thriving passion for it. Its just like any other sport. If you love it, you will keep doing it and keep trying to make yourself better at it. Im 16 and have been doing it for 4-5 years and i cant get away from it.

Run 800 meters? Yeah because that's going to beneficial.
30 kettlebell swings? Have fun with your back injury goals of 2012
30 Pullups? Not one single pullup was done, not. one. single. pullup.
This video must be a parody of something or am I missing something?
