I have a different view on Leary in regards to saying he went on an ego trip. Think more from this perspective...If Leary was able through any means to convince scientists in the whole community of science of the wonders and learnings of the drug, it would have taken a positive turn into unlocking new and open experimentation. The problem is that he did fail in that regard.
