  • @ALICEPIN Hi, I've permed my hair quite a bit. I like big curls, but dislike tight curls. In my experience, big, fluffy, voluminous curls can't really be achieved by perms. If the roller is too big, the curls will just drop and be straight again. The best thing for big curls is daily styling with heat, rollers, etc. You could perm a slight wave and then style to make the curls bigger too.

  • @ALICEPIN it is possible... but you might want to curl it with a flatiron... then put the curlers in.. but after that you should be good for about a week, if youput the curlers in before you go to sleep..

  • its not like she gets these comments back.. so dont bother hating on her... she is trying to be of help... stop being so mean..

  • I did a home perm myself today, and I have dyed hair as well. I had no problems, didn't hurt, didn't itch...came out just the way I wanted and my hair is no worse than it was before. xD

  • the solution stings the neck really bad and it hurts you will have a red-looking rash on your neck for a few days you will need alot of towels and double layer cotton because it hurts she didnt say that but that is less tearful

  • @everyonespentecostal i dont understand why you had a rash... i've been around perms all my life and that has never happened... nobody said to put the perm on your neck...

  • After reading the comments, I believe some negative comments are by professionals against home perms. My aunt has always successfully done her hair herself (perm and cut). Too bad she is 1200 miles away. Everytime we take in air, we poison ourselves. An occassional perm will not cause brain cancer just regular poisonings & smoking, & & &

  • Thanks. That made it simple.

  • A. Obviously this woman does not care!

  • wow that wasn't at all helpful... or informative.

  • What's everyone's problem. She's an adult and can decide what to do with her own hair. I can't believe all the negative comments. Not everyone wants straight hair, and the ones that are making the "don't do it" comments are the same people that are out coloring their hair every month. Nothing is good for your hair even shampoo is considered harsh.

  • I agree.

  • dont do !

  • what if you really strait hair, when you do this does it straighten over time??

  • if you do that it will be a disaster..

  • hair is dead anyway...who cares! PERM AWAY!

  • this stuff really stinks tho lol so be prepared

  • especialy when you wet it or go swimming

  • i love perming!

  • thank you for doing this, I'm a student and cannot afford to go to a salon.

  • perm is not good for your hair!!!!

  • No shit...neither is dying your hair, or straightening your hair with irons, or even blow-drying.

  • nothing is good for your hair anymore not even shampoo nowdays.

  • i know

  • this cant be possible, u must to go to the saloon 4 this.

  • no you dont...?

  • DONT ever perm your own hair,,,go to a Professional. That way,if it dosent turn out,its THEIR problem, and THEIR fault,,,so THEY can fix it!

  • no, you do one piece first if that piece comes out wrong theres loads of videos on here of how to take them out.

  • what if you have the rods already, how do you get the solution by itself?

  • buy the curly perm kit
