@XXmynameisliamXX A 3.3m Sting may get your 7 stone into the air in the right wind but will drop you like a sack of shit. The stings are not designed for jumping and you will risk hurting yourself if you tried. I can only comment on what I tried for years and that would be the Blades evertime. They never failed me, goodluck with whatever route you decide to go down. PS becareful or mother nature will spank you:)
FYI these kites do have safety systems. Kudos on the size of your balls! you wouldnt catch me doing this on a hard cobble beach, let alone with a 4.9 blade or bigger!
@OnesandZeros1 The pebbles are the best surface to land on. They move and distribute your weight as you hit them, have saved many a possible broken ankle. I wouldnt do this shit on anything else :) Thanks for the comment

I can't help but notice that a lot of the landings are clipped short. Almost as if there was something about them that the people in the video didn't want anyone to see happening at those last few seconds.
@anthony3leaves im only just getting in to jumping 4 line kites. but with two lines you have no de-power line so its harder to get a nice landing and you may end up being in the air for a long time at the winds mercy.

I wonder what technique you use to make big jumps like that.. I've got a Rhombus Firebee 5.5, just started kiting this year. Getting _some_ air but nothing like this, even at 6 bft its nothing like that, though it should be. Ive read about 'how to jump' but if i steer from 3 o clock to 12 o clock i get only horizontal pull, and when i steer it up theres barely any lift. I just dragged 30 feet forward. What am I doing wrong?
@Pogost1ck You need to hold back longer before you allow yourself to getting pulled. Wait until the kite is half way through the window then turn it upward, when it is facing up jump at the same time. Should pull you forward and before you hit the ground give you some pull upwards softening the landing..

@MsMagicalCat Yes brighton has a festival around july at stanmer park normally the weekend that falls closest to the 8th...my birthday.... The kite shop in brighton closed but you still should be able to get them online. The Highwaymen do kite spares. (search google)

@itsmeordadog If you are 6 stone I seriously wouldnt reccomend getting a blade 4.9. Im 13, 8 and a half stone.
I have a Tribord 3.5m and thats powerful enough to lift me 10ft in the air in 5mph winds, in 10mph winds I can normally get about 20-25ft. A blade would be way too powerful for me and you. If you were 6 stone and flew a 4.9 blade im pretty sure it will either break your arms or carry you 200 ft lol. Check out my kite vids, hope I helped (:
@kEZzmAn1000 well, ive been using the blade 4.9m for ages now and I basically get 10ft - 12ft jumps high and about 20ft across. And I use prolink handles so the harness takes the strain off my arms. But I never jump with the harness attached because it's too tedious. Although I can't get much lift out of it at all really. I just need practice I guess...
@theoneandonlymeyupyu if you are a fully grown adult I advise a 3-4m kite to start with but if you are like 6-9 stone I would get a 2.5-3m kite to start with. Flexifoil is the best company for kites. I have been using my 4.9m blade IV for a while now and I can quite easily get about 15ft jumps out of it in 10mph winds. Just be careful when jumping to not go too high! This is why you get a small kite...

ok this might sound like a stupid question but i have a 4 slingshot and im lookin for alot more power. i wanna jump ad high and long as possible. now would a pansh ace 8m or 12m be better for kit jumping? obviously the 12m has more power but im wondering if the speed differences in the kites would make a difference in that you need the perfect balance of speed and power. which one should i get for the biggest jumps?

@theoneandonlymeyupyu i prefer jumping with 4 line handles but thats my style many would disagree. UK companies will ship abroard but look at flexifoil online - the kite you want is the blade 5 6.5m, they will have usa distributors on the site, let me know how you get on.

@ella2rox if oyu live in the uk or in europe go to decathlon, im almost 100% sure they'll have kite big enough to do this ;) ive got a 3.5m squared kite thats good enough fr beginners and can easily get you off teh ground... got that at decathlon

ok this might sound like a stupid question but i have a 4 slingshot and im lookin for alot more power. i wanna jump ad high and long as possible. now would a pansh ace 8m or 12m be better for kit jumping? obviously the 12m has more power but im wondering if the speed differences in the kites would make a difference in that you need the perfect balance of speed and power. which one should i get for the biggest jumps?
