Tip 4 growin trees: in the air place a dirt block, just one with no onther dirt touching it. (trees can't grow if grass is near it) plant acorn and then u dont need to go around whacking grass if u want trees to grow

Molten Armor might be useless in Hardmode, but in my mage playthrough (using only magic, no other weapons) I found the Jungle Armor better than the Mage Cobalt Set, at least for my play-style

Hey TerrariaHelp!

Quick tip (oh, the irony xD): If you wanna free up your hotbar for weapons and stuff for later in the game, you should use the "auto-select" hotkey. What it does is your character will use/hold whatever item seems to make the most sense based on where your cursor is. Say, if you hold the autoselect key while hovering over dirt or stone, your character will be holding your drill even if it isn't on your hotbar. When hovering over wood, it'll equip your axe. With air, torches.

@CTmera It's REALLY useful for saving time by just being able to push a button to access the item you want from anywhere in your inventory as opposed to scrolling through, managing your hotbar, etc. Hope this helps!

... I may or may not also say this because NO ONE uses it despite being one of the most useful new functions xD I mean... Not even Hero... Idk about Yri cuz he hides his UI... Ok, done with the rambling :D

You need 11 houses for NPC's in singleplayer, in mutliplayer with 3-4 people you need 13 NPC houses and in multiplayer with 5+ people you need 14 NPC houses (some NPC's spawn mutliple times in mutliplayer). Btw nice guides about terraria :)

Also I have learned recently, the eye of cthulu isn't even worth it, it's better to go straight for EoW, with shurikens, I did it with a fresh character, just build an arena (which is basically a line of platforms a few spaces off the ground) because he drops TONS of demonite ore AND scales at the same time, it's like 100 times more effective & uses about the same shurikens.

I watched this guy named Yrimir on youtube, he shows how to speed run for shadowscale, and I did it, and it worked wonders, never even had to touch the eye, and never died, not a single time. and I had only 100 health and potions.

@40kchaoslord depends on why your playing. If you wanna get everything, gl wit that. A bit of a pain, but i would say focus on all the armor. If i were u, id say dungeon, then jungle for last. Or, go mine hell stone, make the molten armor. The no stats kinda sucks though, I always used shadow. But, there really isnt too much of an order. Just go by whats easiest for you. lastly, to me, hell is easier then the dungeon, and dungeon easier then jungle. good luck.

@40kchaoslord Molten. Get an obsidian skull and tunnel around hellstone deposits. Don't let any lava leak in. Make Fiery Greatsword, then pickaxe, hamaxe, then the armor. After that craft a Blade of Grass and find a muramasa, then craft a Night's Edge at the demon altar. Then you fight the Wall of Flesh.

@dev02ify First off just wanna thank all you guys for responding, infinitely helpful! I've decided to go for Molten as I am a huge melee player, and I always hated the look of the jungle armor as well as tunneling around in the jungle.

So, I'm going to head for the Molten, then the jungle for blade of grass, and then probably the dungeon and then Wall of flesh.

@40kchaoslord I had that problem (not knowing what to do after demonite)

Go to hell, get a bunch of fire blossoms -> go to desert and get a lot of water plants or what they called and get some obisidian. Make obsidian skin potons and get a STACK (250) of hellstone ore. This should cover armour and and tools :D Also a nice tip that helped me -> Molten armour does not require gold armour anymore :) Oh yeah, and get molten pick ASAP because it harvests everything faster :D

I love the new "use in inventory" Mechanic, you could use your heart crystal without putting it in your hot bar. by left clicking anywhere on the screen. It made it hard to drop potions for friends though.
