There is no way surihtanil that you get 30mpg with a 5.0 or a 2.3... My Stang and a 2.3 when i first got it and was averaging 20mpg when i babied it lol.. The 5.0 gets like 12 if im lucky, on average it gets 8-10...

@RapidianSnow Basically you'll be paying more for gas. The MPG difference is almost negligible between 5 liter and 2.3 liter if the 2 cars are solid and in good shape but it will add up depending on how much you drive. I like what Jon Huber did with his mustang, it's turbocharged and carries more power than most larger engine cars and still maintains 30 miles per gallon. You should look him up. Start with a 4 cylinder engine in your 1st car, if you like it enough you can make it fast later.

I personally think those are the best style of taillight out there for fox body mustangs for this reason: the mustang has always been known for having three piece taillights. the stock ones are butt ugly and dont have three parts. these do. and to anybody who calles them ricer taillights shut up. ya ricers put them on their cars but thats just cuz they are posers who cares. and if you really have a problem with it you can get them in black or carbon fiber style too

Been thinking of getting some Louvers for my 93 stang. They look pretty good. As for constructive criticism on the tails. I would have gone for the darker style not the chrome. Looks gaudy.

Here's an intelligent comment about your taillights. I like the car a lot but the cheezy chrome in the tails are killing the elaborate styling. Put the tails in an oven on 200* to release the glue then seperate the outer lense. Mask off the red lights and paint the chrome section black (gloss/satin). Apply glue to the lense then press them back together and reinstall. It will improve the look significantly by removing the cheap looking tails.

@diablostorm hahaha dude look on ebay i saw a coulple on there for sale, one was out of a t-bird and the over a svo lol i love that motor i have front mount intercooler, bov, custom intake, a new cylinder head and my block has stock forged pistons but there .020 over bore:) haha

@Davidwilliamson4 Nobody seems to know shit about tail lights to offer constructive criticism, but here's my take on it from what I've seen, if I switch out the ones I have I'll go for stock '79 (I think that's what they are) tail lights like in (watch?v=vnW4W6ot5kY at about 55 seconds) or black 87 GT tail lights...

so i just got a 1993 mustang hachback(looks exactly like yours)
exept it is ONLY black and i need to get some interior work done, the sun roof leaks a little bit(i was told) and i have the cassete and radio in mine.
what would you pay if the same car..
i am just asking to see if i got a good deal on it
(and yes if your wondering i am not a car person and i am a girl...so dont really know the diference of many car terms or things of that nature...)

Here's an intelligent comment about your taillights. I like the car a lot but the cheezy chrome in the tails are killing the elaborate styling. Put the tails in an oven on 200* to release the glue then seperate the outer lense. Mask off the red lights and paint the chrome section black (gloss/satin). Apply glue to the lense then press them back together and reinstall. It will improve the look significantly by removing the cheap looking tails.

Lost all respect for the car when i saw the tail lights. Sorry to say bro, Your driving a ford, and since whatever you are racing is gonna see the rear end of your car, might not want it to look like a trashy riced out mustake. But other then the tail lights, its beautiful, very clean, i like the rear window loovers, had some on my 79. Also hood is a Cobra R hood? looks decent. Sorry for the shitty input on tail lights. Just my opinion

thats not bad looks good i have i 93 2.3 hatch 5speed with dule flowmasters on mine i like 5.0 but i hate the gas milege it gets so whatever you can always turbo a four banger if you want new tail lights go on ebay i got my black smoke lights front and rear on there for under 120 a piece with free shipping

I gotta say very nice inside and out. Tail lights need to be the smoked,clear, or stock LX. As for the 4 banger, I really dont know y you would put all that money into a car that, has a 2.3 N/A. At least put the junkyard turbo set up on it.
