All the running gear is Volkswagen. Engine appears to be a flat engine out of a kombi. A 750 bike engine would be more suited to a smaller buggy. All that VW front and rear end would be very heavy. Better off fabricating your own suspension. For an excellent website devoted to bike powered buggies, check minibuggy dot net. The forum is frequented by very helpful and friendly buggy builders that will answer any questions you have.
sweet...I've been looking into building one similar to this. I have a Suzuki 750 motorcycle engine that was taken out of my dad's bike when a magneto let go inside, but It's been overhauled and should run now. Thanks for the info.
wouldn't use it for more than shredding dirt roads

What kind of Sandrail is that?
Is it custom welded or mass produced?

I bought it used, so I don't know for sure. But it looks mostly homemade.
