@131untouchable Hahahaha your funny, I smell bait. But I'm not gonna bite, unlike some little cry baby who couldn't take a comment that I left in the 'COMMENT' section. Good for you though, little man, standing up for yourself. Be proud of yourself.
Arnold Rothstien played a very smart move. In order for the D'Alessio brothers to do business with him he made all of them sign life insurance policys (with his own insurance company). So even if Nucky's hitmen murder the brothers AR gets paid either way. So AR will actually recoup (or even profit) some of the $1million he's about to pay nucky. One slick mofo
to bad jimmy is dead now he was a great but very disturbed gangsta
they dont focus on luciano enough but this is before he was nicknamed lucky he doesnt have the scar yet thats probably gonna happen in later seasons and then hopefully focus more on him
Hey man, Steve Buscemi (Nucky Thompson) really has a beautiful shirt with a kind of collar i've never seen in the 1930's fashion.. what type is it? is it round?.. Please, give me some clarification,
@gabbrorlo I'm not too sure what the name of the shirt was back in the '30s but Smyth & Gibson made a shirt very similar to this; you can find it online. I also think that the collar is detachable.
This is a great show except they totally mess up their characterization of Lucky Luciano, they turned one of the most intelligent and certainly the most powerful Mafia figure of the last two hundred years into a bumbling henchman.
yea i know...which would make sense because rothstein was taken out which is why lucky went after them...since rothstein is alive still and if the D'Allessio are based off the genna brothers which were with maranzano ...it could be a possible outcome
@131untouchable The Gennas were not with Maranzano. The Gennas were allies of Al Capone in Chicago and when Al left at one point in time, they started acting like they were the heads of The Outift, Capone held a dinner in their honor and afterwards they were beaten to death with baseball bats. The Gennas had absolutely nothing to do with Maranzano or New York. Lucky didn't go after Maranzano to avenge Rothstein. He went after him because he was standing in his way from total control.
@131untouchable According to wiki, the D'Allessios are based on the Lanzettas, though the fact that there are six D'Allessio more closely resembles the Gennas. I guess they're a fictionalized amalgamation of the two sets of brothers.
@nitesco ... Maranzano was killed because he was in the way of total control.. Frankie Yale at the time in New York was one of the biggest gangsters... Know you history guys... Arnold and Nucky didn't like each other because they were both bootleggers
Rothstein, Capone and Harrow are pure gangster. Can't wait for Season 2. Hopefully HBO keeps this gem running since they're pulling the plug on my other gem; Entourage.
You know when Jimmy sliced Leo's throat he could've at least whipped off the shaving cream first. I'm sure that must have burned pretty bad getting inside that wound plus could've really cause a bad infection. He should be a little more considerate next time.
i didn't understand this part - I thought the D'alessio brothers had already been killed by jimmy and Chalky, why were there more of them? weren't there supose to b just 3?
@BeDour111 My thoughts exactly but I see him screwing up again and getting killed by Nucky or somebody else but I'm pretty sure it won't happen too soon

hey guys... i might be a bit slow on the uptake, but i was wondering did they ever reveal who ordered the hit on colosimo? lucky keeps implying it was torrio. can anyone confirm this?
they dont confirm it but it was torrio, torrio wanted to enter the booze bidness and big jim wouldnt have it so they removed him from the equation right after capone brought bak the stolen shipment from AC
@131untouchable it was a joke you dumbass. in Godfather II they showed how Vito Corleone rose to power in little italy in the early 1900s and by the 20's i think, he was getting pretty high up. they never really said who killed colosimo, my joke was vito did it. probably not a good one, but thats no need to get all worked up and pissy over it.
@131untouchable you should have called him a dumbass or something but just blocking him? youtube is famous for its arguments. you got the little dick syndrome, doggy. you just bent over and let the youtube world give you the dick. you gotta small pecker nigga. you gotta git atthem when they push you around but you backing out like a bitch, put in you place. stand up for yourself nigga. you dyin from little dick syndrome

Yeah Torrio had him killed because of his lack of desire to get into the liquor business. It was never shown on screen him admitting it but it's common knowledge.
@PatchesMalone The shooter was Frankie Yale on orders from Johnny Torrio earlier in the season AR questions him and although they don't show it on screen it's common knowledge who killed him and why. Colisimo didn't want in on the liquor business so he had him taken out to take control.
Rothstein didnt lose a penny on that million dollar deal as he had made the D'Alessio's sign life insurance policies for a half million each a few episodes earlier,(he actually made money), plus he didnt like the D'Alessio's anyway.
Love how Capone takes an apple out of the bag and keeps walking after he shoots the guy. I also like how Richard pauses for a second before killing the 15 year old like he's thinking "is he just a kid or a scumbag like his brothers?"..."yeah,he's a scumbag" bang. Boardwalk Empire is such a great show. Nearly every scene from it is classic.
