It's called HUMOR people! Learn it! Yes, yes, alot of people know how to repair computers, myself included. But you don't have to be all serious about everything.
I am just a 15 years old, and I know all about computer, and that is not how you install it. TO Install it just open your case, find an available slot the drive bay, set the jumper to cable select, master, etc. Slide the cd rom, then connect the power supply, ide/sata, then the audio cable. Start Up your computer. Try Booting a bootable cD, if it works, try booting on windows (if installed) to try reading, writing, burning (if possible) then afterif it works, align the holes then screw it,
Then Close your PC, then do your regular thing.. But If your replacing your CD-ROM, just Open your PC, disconnect the cables (POWER, IDE/SATA, AUDIO) then remove your existing Drive, then set the jumper to cable select, master, etc on the new drive. then reconnect the power supply, ide/sata, then the audio cable. Start Up your computer. Try Booting a bootable cD, if it works, try booting on windows (if installed) to try reading, writing, burning (if possible)
then after it works, align the holes then screw it, after that close your PC, then you done. No need to stick your tongue out or some other crappy stuff like that
Since you say you know all about computers, tell me how to install Windows Vista, Windows XP AND Mac OS X on the same PC. If there are any naysayers out there saying it's not possible, I have a video of it on YouTube. And if you want to make a computer repair tutorial, spelling and grammar is the key. Oh, and by the way, I'm 16, so don't try to base knowledge on age. and how long have you been working on computers? I started when I was 9, using Windows 3.1.
I send you a message, I didn't use the grammer this time, because I have a lot of homework to do so consider that as rough draft. I started on age 13 with a Dell Computer with Windows 98 as a first computer to dissect and repair. But my first computer was Packard Bell with Pentium 133Mhz, 16MB RAM, 512MB HDD, and Windows 98
Good old Windows 98. My first computer was a Packard Bell also, with a 66 MHz processor, a 200 MB hard drive, Windows 3.1 and 8 MB RAM, and I had that when I was 7.
yea not very hard Repair a Hard drive 1. Make sure the computer has no power going to it 2. remove the side case lay the computer down 3. Take off the cables from the old one 4. Check for screws holding in the hard drive 5. take it out 6. Put new one in 7. Screw in screws 8. Put cable in the same way they came out 9. Close the computer back up. 10. Plug it power cable 11. Fire it up
Oh yeah, you forgot. Set the jumpers, to make sure it doesn't conflict with an another hard drive, except if you have sata then you don't have to. but nice!
I have Windows XP, my computer WOULDNT changed my background to a royal blue with a warning that my computer had been infected with a virus.I ran Spy Sweeper and I had 93 Cookies/Trojans and 311 Traces. I told it to delete all of the Cookies/Trojans like I have every time before. Now, it won't let me change my background to a picture. It will only let me change it to different colors.
Did you build it or have it built? Or is it a pre-fab purchased from a department store?
If it is:
(1)Hand built in your home country, then simply copy your valuable data to a flash drive or CD and use the windows CD to reformat it.
(2) A pre-fab sold in department stores and manufactured by slanted eyed children for slave wages (dell, compaq, apple, etc.) Please contact your local govt to see when recycling is picked up, and proceed to dispensing it to Jo-Jo the garbage man.
