Obviously Kobe and Jordan are both extrodianary players. They are both very similar players with similar styles. The one thing that seperates the two is winnig. Kobe has three rings but probably wouldn't have any w/o Shaq. Jordan won six and probably could have won ten or more in a row if he didn't sit out the '94 and '95 seasons and played till say 2001 or so. Remeber that Jordan was still the best player in the game when he retired in '98.

okay achievements aside, lets have a look at their raw talent. Jordan in his prime would absolutely kill Kobe in his prime (which i think was last season) Jordan was a hella lot faster than Kobe and definitley more athletic. Mentally no one comes close to jordan. Kobe has got a better 3 point range, but other than that i cant see him doing anything better than Jordan ever did.

i disagree, Jordan's jumpshot was better than Kobe's. It's a myth that he couldnt shoot the ball when he was young. Jordan shot over 50% for the best part of his career. You cant tell me he did layups and dunks all day to average 30+ points. Look at the old games, he is a deadly shooter from rookie year. Kobe hasnt shot over 50% ever. kobe is better in the zone? Jordan consistently played each game and didnt rely on being 'in the zone' like a dan majerle or iverson. Jordan lifted his teamates to kill all the teams out there. THe bulls never had a decent center yet still beat all the teams with great centers over the years towards a title: ewing, shaq, kemp etc.. i cant see kobe lifting his team or the lakers being able to withstand a team with a good center like Dirk, Shaq, howard, ming. Sorry but i dont think the lakers are gonna win it anytime soon.
