Pam Tillis is really one of our national treasures. This lady can write, sing and perform so very, very well. I don't think are too many performers in her league, really. She truly delivers on this song. She puts the perfect finishing touches starting from 3:50 till the end of the song. Beautiful.

I know that everything that happens is for a reason and though losing someone can hurt, its an awesome thing that you are grateful for your son. I think that i grieved for a whole year until I met my now husband and realized that if I ever wanted to be happy I needed to heal from what happened. Because my husband makes me very happy but I needed to let go of my ex. It was not easy, but God has walked me through and Im praying that it will happen for you too!

My Aunt, my Mom's twin sister, were so close when I was in my 20's. We used to go out & party together all the time. She tried so many times to talk to me & tell me all about her mistakes in life, hoping I wouldn't follow in her path. However being as stubborn as I was/am, I didn't listen. Oh, the country stars of today--Carrie, Taylor, Kellie, Miranda, Martina, Sara, Trisha, Faith, et. al.--are just fine, and so is Pam.
The "country purists" who get upset about the "de-twang-ification" (how's that for a word!!) of country music today should just give it a rest, and get a life.
There is room for the traditional and room for the modern--it is all great.
Just because something changes does not necessarily mean it is for the bad. Modern country music is just fine.

I don't disagree - i also think there is room for traditional and modern. The only problem I have with "modern" is it's frequently style over substance. Cute over talented. Not always the case, sure - but it's more evident now than ever.

And, sometimes... when things change, they can definitely change for the worse.That happens all the time !! So maybe today's country should " Re- Twang " itself a little ! I kinda miss that, you all. Point well taken, but there ARE some young country stars out there that could be classified as more traditional country artists. Miranda Lambert comes immediately to mind. She is definitely very TWANG-Y and VERY talented !!

@trwent Well, its still the old adage " To each his own " and, there's nothing wrong with that. I admit, I like country rock a lot. I think the proper combination of the two are dynamite ! I'm personally more a Beatles person myself. I started listening to country about 5 years ago, and.. got hooked. I like country because of the " depth and substance " of many of the songs I.E." Garth Brooks, The Dance " for instance. But... like I said, to each his own !! PEACE.....

Pam Tillis is really one of our national treasures. This lady can write, sing and perform so very, very well. I don't think are too many performers in her league, really. She truly delivers on this song. She puts the perfect finishing touches starting from 3:50 till the end of the song. Beautiful.

I've never been in a relationship. Never dated or kissed anyone. I guess it's because men have never been interested in me. They were mean to me throughout my school years, mainly because I was and still am on the heavy side. Being older now, (30s) it doesn't bother me. i can't belive i just found this song!
i'm from germany and the only time i ever got to listen to it was back in 95 when i spent time in calgary for my student-exchange! i just remembered spilled perfume, that was all, and now i can listen to it whenever i want to remember my great time in canada! i miss it so much!
