The dialog and graphics are still captivating -- even on PS1 hardware I'm still amazed by this game. Sigh, memories... Oh, and this game is being released via the PSN in 2011!
This is the most epic game EVER created by Squiresoft (now Squire Enix), but sadly it also is the most underrated one due to Final Fantasy-like RPGs existed on PS1 back in the days. This game perfected everything one can hope for in a video game...yes including the graphics. Now a day the game makers only worry about how cool and awesome and beautiful the graphics of the games look instead of worrying about the story and/or gameplay, which is why most games suffer tremendously on qualities.
This might be my favorite scene in the game, next to Grissom's following appearance in the Undercity.
You want to know something silly? Here in Montréal there is this underground marketplace of sorts that most of the time gets called simply "the underground city". I call it the Undercity without thinking, and I do this all the time. I have recently stopped correcting myself because it is just such a cool name and they should really use it instead.
Sydney is so cool he seems so evil but at the same time not. Lol I love his character Ashley is cool too. Lol I wonder what is true the old memories he has or what Sydney shows him. I wish I could have finished playing this game myself
I still have Vagrant Story here in the shelf. I used to play it A LOT with my buddy. Well... there are still some titles I have to get. 30 chain hit... 5000 monsters with all 2hand weapons and that stuff..
this forest was the end of my vagrant story experience. i tried, really i did - to like this game, but it just ended up boring the shit out of me. the whole thing just seemed so pointless. this game is entirely overrated.
this would have ot be my fav scene in the entire game! Sydney was just too awsome XD! Cept i couldn't work out why sydney didn't fight back! I accidentally found out that if you ignore Grissom and hit only the legs of the other warrior, when you get him to like 50%, Sydney will start hitting it instead of just casting bloody prostagia ?? XD and you can trick Sydney into jumping up onto those platforms even when you aren't there...I think i played this game too much XD
I really adore Sydney as well =3 Actually, I play through the game half of the times for the great story, and half of the times to see Sydney xD I think he really is my favourite character out of all.
Sydney is AWESOME. I can't name another character in an RPG like him--he's not really on the good or evil side, but he's in brilliant opposition to Ashley's character.
He is indeed awesome and thoroughly unique - but if you like the plots in Yasumi Matsuno's games (VS, FF Tactics, FFXII) and the characters who aren't really bad guys or good guys, I'd suggest trying out the Suikoden series, especially the second game if you can find it. No one does it with such a flair as Sydney, though. ;)
Yes, this is... either my third or fourth time through the game, and you keep your stats and weapons each time. (I ran the clock up to 99 hours on my second replay, forging and training the sword I use for the majority of this playthrough. The next time I went for the "no saving" and "under 6 hours" titles, and managed it in a single sit-down session that lasted about 5:30.) I've been through the game about six times now, but my "good" save is halfway through again, so I used an old one.

In a SHIT movie called 300... A piece of Hollywood trash for those with small brains and little in the way of intellectual curiosity.

It's been years since I last played this game, and Sydney's still as creepy as all hell.

Heh! I've been replaying it every now and then for years, and I *still* find him creepy. Wonderfully so, though.

How do you get all that HP?
or is this a replay and you get your health back weapons, etc
