  • i learned it on my classic guitar :) really beatiull piece.

  • i like at 4:05 a e-mail bling

  • the sweet sound incloses the ears into perfect harmony making the mind open to all thoughts, such as this comment for example. If I were to be writing a comment on a non-classical music video, then this comment would first, look like shit, and second not go a long with the video at all because this topic can almost only be discussed on this side of you tube.

  • Beautiful.

  • *Begins howling at all the full moons*

  • Heard

  • Heated this song in re5 :) great

  • the moooooooonnnn

  • Ask That Guy with The Glasses!

  • fuckkk....i was playing this on the piano the last time! it came to my mind, i didnt know it was made by Beethoven! :O

  • The music was experienced in his mind state and its composition flowed from his heart, the sound of it is his legacy for those who can hear to experience at another level of appreciation. Hmm.

  • shogun1556...this is such a ...and you play it...you lucky person..I played it in my youth and I loved it...too much romance....or not enough....I wanted a girl with me for some reason when ever I listened?played it....such an emotional piece......

  • TVB...hongkongers thump up

  • i was on tumblr listening to this, and i wanted to cry. this is amazing

  • when I hear this song, it reminds me of the hardass time you have to play this song in RE5 with Jill Valentine on Lost in Nightmares

  • I play this on the classical guitar but I prefer listening to the piano version, it's always played more patiently and slowly onthe piano. People rush it on the guitar to show off

  • I've recorded my interpretation of this song too, it's on my channel

Thumbs up, so people can see it!

  • there is absoulutley nothing to say...the music says it for you...beautiful

    man he was a geniuse

hope i spelled that right :D

  • I heard this for the first time last week played by a 15 year old boy who had only played on the piano for 5 years... My wife and i was at a concert for my kids music school.....It was perfect...When he finished playing we was crying so much we forgot to clap!!!

  • So much I learned in Paradise;

    So much I learned on Earth;

but somehow strange, and strange to say,

in Hell, I learned their worth.

  • @MultiHaizz

    holy crap that's amazing

  • Sa3uel: you're not really asking who the artist is, are you? Check the title of the video, the name Beethoven should tell you something. And no, its not only a dog in a movie ;-) ..

  • @MadDogMD90 I think he means who is the musician playing the music.

  • @MadDogMD90 That cracked me up. I never thought I'd laugh to this song.

  • These composer lads from back in the day certainly knew what they were at

  • 3 :D:D:D:D:D

  • Τέλειο!Το αγαπώ πολύ αυτό το κομμάτι.Ευχαριστώ πολύ.

  • nice playing!!!

  • okay, at 4:04 , beethoven got an email on msn but kept playing

  • this is the most beautiful composition ever. beethoven was an amazing composer. this is on my computer and i cried when i remembered my uncle's death. he was in the malitary and died in an explosion along with 10 others. everytime i hear this, i think about him. up there in heaven watching down on me and my brothers, protecting us when we're asleep. he was a strong man and would have heard this. but i know up there, my gaurdian angel will be there to protect me whether dead or not.

    R.I.P love

  • Who is the artist, any idea?

  • 4:05 weird random sound lol

  • HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU DISLIKE THIS MUSIC, YOU 3 PEOPLE HAVE NO FUCKING EARS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nigaz got their, grillz, silly hats with stickers on them, trousers that hang to there ankles, their Boom boom boom, in da hud who knew i would but blood you'de shoot me if you could...

  • @plasticbudgie This isnt restricted to whites

  • This song makes me think of sitting in an old theater watching a film about different stages of my life

  • @Jashjrable that was beautiful :')

  • Resident Evil is all I think about when I hear this

  • Beethoven was profoundly deaf when he composed this hauntingly beautiful piece. Genial.

  • 4:05 - keeps making me think i have a new email

  • I think a counter melody someplace is needed.

  • I would of loved if Randy Rhoads could of done this one.

  • Thumbs up for RE1 and RE5

  • @thefourthhokage13 Eh? :S

  • what is that sound at 4:05 ?

  • musica magnifica!

Em nenhum momento ,consigo ficar indiferente a ela.

Só ela consegue alinhar meu corpo, mente e espirito.

  • I really like it when each Classical composer had his own style of creating magnificent musics.

  • Hey! The dislike bar looks like it's invisible. That's pretty epic.

  • I reallly dont know what to say. This piece is wonderful. Beethoven must have to have that much time to make this piece exist and i cant believe people dislike this. I feel sad for him and it makes me mad. You dont know how hard he spent the effort to just make you dislike this piece! Also for the person who made this video, he/she spent effort people!!!TIME!!!!

  • Make me wanna sleep

  • 3 persons stupid and do not understand classic.

  • 3 dislike? i think they haven't ears.

  • @Spartxo Maybe because it is well known that Beethoven among others were inspired by Bach?

  • Comment removed

  • this sorta creeps me out idk why

  • Fantastic!!!!! From Azerbaijan

  • 3 people dont know what music was about.

  • I just had an orgasm....

  • beautiful piece of music, and it has a sense of tranquility to it too!!

  • This song is absolutely beautiful. The melody is amazing, and shows the true magic just a simple pianos can bring.

  • Such a beautiful song. Makes me wanna cry. It makes me calm at the same time. Where did such good music go? :(

  • such a beautiful song makes me calm and sometimes cry

  • Every time I play this song on piano with people around, it always makes things awkward to me, because when it ends, there's a huge silence and everyone is just sitting there peacefully. It always makes my grandma cry.

Ahh... Beethoven, what you did for us... Thank you.

  • @shogun1556 I am sure your grandma is a scientist or in love...you must discover it....I am not joking....

  • shogun1556: That is beautiful. I understand. As a singer...sometimes there is the same response. They "went away" with you, and are not entirely back, neither are you. It is so sweet and poignant. One of the best moments in life, really...and there are many. Yes, I thank the marvelous Beethoven, and His Creator and ultimate artist, God. Be well. All the best, Kris Bass-Malloy, Macon, GA

  • @oakbyriver Sometimes I wish we could spread peace all over the world through the sound of Music. Beethoven and many other legends tried to do so but never got enough attention. Thank you for this comment, at least I don't feel alone expressing these kind of feeling. Let Music live forever in our hearts.

  • @shogun1556 Try playing Abba

  • Is as beautiful as sad at a time...

  • Who the hell would give this a "dislike"?

  • They shrunk the replay button >:C

  • Amazing

  • beautiful, that's all I can say

  • i think of corpse bride and the moon rising over a rooftop with L from death note on it...i watch too much anime.

  • @SingOutToOurWorld L is awesome =3

  • @Rarcherymewmew ikr...this song reminds me of him...no idea why...its just does...

  • @SingOutToOurWorld (Thinks deeply)... I think why. He is cool, this song is cool. He is quiet, the moon is quiet, L was smart, Beethoven was smart (to wright this song :P) And this song is a little sad, that reminds me when L dies >.<

  • I will learn this song for my love.

  • lol, ad 4:05 messenger sound. did not know that beethoven had msn.

  • @striekert neither me... maybe he was chatting with Chopin and Mozart about some musical stuff and how weather is...lol

  • It's interesting that minor should invoke this and major the opposite.

    -

This interesting bit of meta-mechanics would be well served to be thoroughly studied.

    -

We're afraid of the dark because it ties back to caveman days through our DNA/genes via ghost gene dynamics and properties.

    -

But this, with the minor making us feel a way and the major making us feel another way... something would most definitely have to be up with that.

    -

I'd appreciate any ideas at all regarding this phenomenon.

    -

  • this goes through the ages.... its larger than time itself.... i get the chills every time i listen to it ...even when im doing something important it manages to capture my attention and i get into it .... lots of people don;t understand music like this .... it frightens them...... its like staing in the dark for too long...you start seeing things ...hearing stuff... that is not there..... i don;t know answeres to all the questions... but this will remain like this ... no change will come....

  • @themariusnos

standing in the dark with someone you want to touch but cannot...the resistance it too great it over powers the body and the mind cannot think until you finally touch youor lover

  • I love this piece. Though you cannot truly appreciate it without listening to all three movements.... The sadness of the first movement... The joy of the second, and the anger of the third.

Beethoven truly was a complicated man, and that is why his compositions are among my favorite out of any composer.

  • I can only imagine what his thoughts were as he created such a crystal piece in this way. In the end two consecutive chords strike twice the turn of the clock to mark the fact that one more night has gone by even though time itself does not rest. I <3 it. I love the dramatic chords and the twists and turns as the hue of the night changes...

  • This is one of my favorite pieces ever. It has always reminded me of someone struggling with their inner most thoughts and for the good to prevail evil.. and to go on inspite of the opposition in ones own mind. Its a beautiful piece that really captures the dramatic essences of the night that overlap the day. A real play ground for ones imagination. I love it! Always have and always will. Very moving.

  • this is such a beautiful piece, i have this eerie feeling when i listen to it though, but then i get a calm feeling, like someone i care about is holding me and im just asleep in their arms

  • Even without the pictures, you can just picture a full moon, glistening in the dark sky. The stars dancing around it as they twinkle in the open sky. You can visualize the sky filled with glowing stars and a bright moon. Of course if you didn't know the title of this song, you could imagine things like a lonely forest or an abandoned orphan. However, I think most people would visualize a beautiful night, yet with a hint of sorrow. This song moves me, because I love the night. I must thank Bach!!

  • @fantasyofprincesses Cool, but - why thank Bach? ;)

  • @Spartxo Oh, I'm sorry, I meant Beethoven... my mistake! ;)

  • @Spartxo yeah? that's what i'm thinking.

  • @fantasyofprincesses I think you mean Beethoven?!

  • @fantasyofprincesses this is Ludwig Van Beethoven???

  • @AlyReality

    Yes :)

  • @Conflict003 I know that, I was just telling someone else that it was and that I was confused by thier misconceptions on the composer of this piece

  • @fantasyofprincesses lol, SOMEONE didn't read the title...

  • @orcad2b and that same someone must learn their music periods...this is typical classicism as with Bach we have a perfect example of baroque (f.y.i. ORGAN is like the symbol of baroque...)...funny, some people, not knowing their basics and trying to sound all goth and all knowing and poetic...shame on you lil girl

  • @fantasyofprincesses i think of spider-man web of shadows.

  • @fantasyofprincesses Epic Fail!!!!!!! :D

  • @fantasyofprincesses my words exactly(: except my version has a sad girl walking in the moonlight....

  • @fantasyofprincesses It is the german Ludwig Rellstab who named this song as a ''Moonlight Sonata'' 5 years after Beethoven death but in reality, experts categorized this composition as a funeral march and Beethoven's assistants said this song was about ghosts pulling their chains in an empty castle. But the ''Moonlight Sonata'' vision is so deep in the people imaginary that it won't change.

  • @Doum92 That's really interesting. Listening to it again, it is kind of ghostly. Not often someone posts an interesting comment on YT, so thanks :-)

  • @Ellie8969 Your welcome :)

  • @fantasyofprincesses Bach is cool and all... but why are you thanking him?

  • @fantasyofprincesses this was by Beethoveen

  • It's just gorgeous. I could listen to this forever.

  • is it from Arthur Rubinstein?

  • One word... beautiful xxx

  • im learning this on piano, its challenging, but beautiful

  • @TheAssassinEzio150 good luck

  • @TheAssassinEzio1503

chalenging? Weird...it was one of the easyest for me...it all comes in place really logicaly...though I play by ear most of the time, maby that`s why

  • @MissBabyHalo Well, I posted that back when I started piano, it's very easy now.

  • @TheAssassinEzio1503 It's mostly just chords. Trust me, once you know THIS song you are actually able to write a lot of your own little tunes you get in your head from knowing the chords. Scales are progress!

  • im not really in to classical music, but this was just amazing.

  • just simply done to perfection. this is the most extraordinary piano play i have or ever will hear. so relaxing. thumbs up if u like it!!!
