I got CHARGE Syndrome, but you would never know it. Doctors said I wouldn't live past 18. I'm 20 now. I drive, work, and go to school. I didn;t learn to walk until I was maybe 4 or 5 years old. I was kicking it with my walker.
These documentaries always make you wanna feel sorry for them. They make it like they're disabilities define them. But you know what? Fuck definitions. There's nothing stopping Victoria from growing up to be an amazing woman. Disabilities do not define you. :)

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm in tears...my son had bilateral Choanal Atresia, had stents put in at less than 24 hours old and was in Sick Kids for 2+ months. Today we are blessed that his Cerebral Palsy diagnosis is good, OT and PT has worked and he is in a regular Grade 3 class this year. He has partial CHARGE. Our ENT doctor at HSC is fabulous! Our 2nd son has vocal chord problems that are a freak thing. He is undergoing treatment at HSC also... Blessings to you and Victoria!
