  • This is so confusing because you keep playing different chords and you don't specify which are for the verses and which are for the chords, i'm so confused!

  • What's the difference between the first set of chords and the arpeggiated chords?

  • @RL82 Okay, thanks heaps. Gonna try and learn this song :)

  • Hey there - I'm still sorta new to playing piano/keyboard, but my co-ordination has improved heaps. Can you give me any tips on how to play with both hands simultaneously? It would be greatly appreciated if you responded :)

  • @corey12523 -- Hey, the best way I've found for learning to play with both hands is practice each hand separately for a while, then SLOWLY practice hands together and gradually as you gain more confidence start increasing your speed. Eventually playing with both hands will become second nature, but as with everything you have to practice practice practice. Thanks.

  • thanks

  • thanks for your encouragement!! :)))))))))

  • how i wish i can do this! ill try!

  • @gillian0813 -- you can do it, it's easy!

  • you should play the whole song! it sounds amazing.

  • I love this song but I hate that I can't play it because i am only nine and my fingers can't reach an octive.

  • i´m playing piano, too. But i have to read the notes. I admire people who play something just by ear. It´s amazing ! the whole song..

I am from Germany, so sorry for my bad english.

    =)

  • nice lesson, i really want to learn this!

  • dat waz amazin!

  • the ESI monitors are baad

  • thanks this helped aloott, could you make a tut on broke hearted girl theres barely any of them around :(.

  • Hey, tanks for your reaction. I can only find on you tube that everybody plays the intro of kci & jojo all my life and not the hole song withe an easy tutorial. Or they playing the song but not with tutorial. If you find on you tube let me know. You are teaching very good and that is easier for me to play that song. Please!!!!!

    tanx

  • hello i got a question, Can you play kci&jojo All My Life. and can you make an easy full tutorial of the hole song. Because i would like to play this next year on my wedding, to surprise mine boy friend and family, nobody knows at that i can play. I saw only the intro in you tube and that the hole song, i hope that you can help me with this i'm from holland and it's very hard to find some one to help me. tanx

  • Hey, there are like 10 tutorials for that song on YouTube... I tend to try not and do songs that have been done already.

  • thanx alot!!!

  • You're welcome!

  • i noticed that u can end this song either with a F# chord or a C# chord...music is so universal!!!!

  • Yeah it really is. I'm starting to get into chord substitutes now to change up church songs.. it's really crazy how you can reharmonize a song with totally different chords, any chords you want as long as you know how to build chords that work... very very expressive to play without having to be worried about being locked into chords.

  • omg u kno how 2 play church songs as well thats cool!!! i play church songs 2 lol but its nothing 2 brag over i need as much practice as i can possibly get!! speakin of reharmornizin chords i ofthen time listen 2 Brian McKnight and listen 2 how he alwayz play accidental chords on the keyboard when he performs a song live!! its so cool!! speakin of Brian do u kno how 2 play Love Is wit Vanessa Williams i've been tryin 2 learn it but cant seem 2 grasp it lol how long have u been playin

  • I've been playing off and on for 5 years, I should be a lot better but I don't practice. I "try" to play church songs so I can have a chance at being the 2nd keyboard player at my wife's church. Check out the video I did called "Galaxy II Piano Demo" I'm playing Give Thanks, nothing special... some easy reharms but I'm still learning that anyways.

  • ok sounds like mei;ve been of and on 4 like 5 years as well...how many keys can u play in and whats ur most favorite key 2 play in...ok so howz the other keyboard player at ur wife church how would u rate him on a scale from 1 - 10

  • I try and practice all my church songs in all 12 keys. I like Db, D, and F for playing... but I gotta get better in the churchy Ab, Eb keys. The keyboard player at my wife's church is a woman, she's probably a 7 out of 10.

  • o ok i hear u im tryna do the same as well but i heard A B and E r the main hardsest keys 2 play in especially E lol...wooow ok well u'll be playin with her in no time!!

  • damee man thanx alot!!!!! u do best i learn that n 10 min. man if iwas rich i give all the money eva

  • haha thanks!

  • yeah easy the best lesson on youtube!

    [german:]

Hallo ...Bitte abonniert mich mal wenn ihr klavier cover hören wollt ...

    Danke:D

  • Great one considered you actually played it by ears. But i can't get it quite clearly at the begining, the left hand chord, how to mix them with the melody? Is it possible that you make another slower version of this? Because personally i prefer this to the sebastiano555's.

  • good job!

  • very nice..tyvm

  • Can I request Beyonce's Halo?

    Please?

  • Great job

  • Thanks

  • Hey, could you produce one birdseye view going slow? cause I and many people know how to play stuff but not notes, (stupid us) sorry!

  • The digital keyboard at the top is a bird-eye view for the notes, that's why I put it up there. There are other tutorials for this song on YouTube that go a little slower.

  • Could you point out the best one for me? sorry been through loads and hear all boring one-noters :L

  • The one by "sebastiano555" was pretty good.

  • oh my gosh i cant stop listening to your turturial!!

i find it abit hard to learn off it as the notes goo soo hard!

i was wondering if you could please make sheet music??

    that would mean heaps.

    thanks

    xx

  • Hi, thanks for the comment. There's another tutorial on YouTube made by "sebastiano555" and I believe he explains the melody notes a little better and slower than I do, but he teaches the song in a different key (not that it matters).

  • wow! this is one of the best tutorials i've ever seen :) really good! ;)

  • Thanks for the nice comment, I'm glad you liked it.

  • hey you are so very good teather thanks lot

  • Really helpful

    You no your stuff!!

  • Thanks, very helpful tutorial !

Could u play the whole song, wihout stoping?

    I really wana listen !

  • Hey, this is absolute great but a little bit confusin!! :S

can you pleaseeee write it down as a piece of info??

  • ARGHH! I cant catch up! But thx for the tutorial anyway.

  • You can't rewind and rewatch?

  • Brilliant tutorial mate!! Thanx

  • Hi, I'm Greg.

What Software(plugin) do you for the virtual keyboard image on your videos. What's you setup. It's Awesome

  • The piano overlay at the top is propably a visual representation of the midi information outputted by your keyboard? With what kind of software have you achieved this result?

Also, very helpful tutorial, and nice playing, love you other videos too :)

I'm also using the same vsti for piano!

  • Yes, the piano overlay is from a MIDI program called MIDI keys, I use Cantibile now for the same effect. I have screen capture software record the keyboard section of the program while I'm playing, then I just edit that overlay into the final video with a video editing program. Thanks

  • Smart solution! :) Keep up the good work mate, and i'd love to see some original work of you :)

  • Podrias hacer un tutorial como ese pero de la cancion ''Only Hope-Mandy Moore'' por favor?

  • ThanXX man i'm gonna learn this. And what is your VST ??

  • Thanks, I use Art Vista Virtual Grand as my VSTi and it has a stand alone player... for recording, I use FL Studio or Cantabile as my VST host.

  • Good Work RL! Thanx!

  • Thank you!

  • bravo! worth more than 5 stars =)

  • Thanks a lot!

  • i love this guy!

  • how did you get that piano on the screen to come up?

    that helped me alot!

thanks so much for the video!

  • You're welcome. The piano overlay at the top was kind of complicated to do, but it helps being able to see the individual notes better than looking at my hands. If you don't know anything about MIDI, then it would be kind of boring if I tried to explain how it works lol. Thanks for your comment.

  • actually thanks so much. i watched this video a few weeks ago, and now i can play it perfectly, and i have never had a lesson in my life. thanks x

  • You're quite welcome, I'm really glad it helped out.

  • thank you!

  • wow! amazing...

i want to lean it!! haha

i'm going to do my best, thank you.

  • Better then the rest ! You are the best lol !

  • I agree, brilliant tutorial! Great that you show the different variations of how you can play it. Took me around an hour to learn. Thanks alot!

  • this is how tutorials should be like :D :D it shows just what your playing

    thanksss

  • Thanks I appreciate it!

  • Too fast

i want to learn the right hand not left :(

  • Yeah, way too fast... it's not like you can stop, go back, and rewatch it or anything. Oh wait...

  • can u please like bring it step by step thnx

  • awesome

  • Your a boss. haha this is amazing. wish i could play like that

  • awesome

  • excellent...no idea what ur talkin bout with all that e major and badd9 gibberish but still can play..well done

  • Hey. Great video. I play the piano - I'm Grade 6. I'd love to play that! Do you know anywhere I could get the sheet music from?

    Thanks.

  • Thanks... I don't know about sheets for this song, I played it by ear.

  • if u find the sheet music for this song please send it to me to

    :D

or at least contact me to tell where to find it

    :D

    thx

  • can you please make a tutorial for more than anyone by gavin degraw? your really good!

  • great played

  • gewdd vid ! buh it wuz too fast i couldnt keep up lol xD buh i got like 5 seconds of da songg((:

  • Great song, great tutorial! My problem is that I played the last time about 11 years ago, so its hard to get back. But I want to play this song... :(

  • you went pretty fast on this tutorial. and i got confused when u started teaching the w/o vocals. :[

  • Ok.

  • thanks so much! i love this song and you are so good on piano :)

  • thank you thank you so much!!!

  • when you are playing the melody

  • Ok, I'll try and go slower during the melody on my next tutorial. Thanks for the feedback.

  • This is a good video but, you are going to fast, it's a teach video, not a play video, i have to consant pause it and then click play, that's not easy.

  • What parts do you have to pause on?

  • i have to constantly hit pause on the melody part. i'm trying to learn to sing it while play it. it's hard. hahaha...can you do another one for the melody but slower...cause i'm a beginner.

  • thank you thank you thank you!!!

  • this is great, i like it cuz it shows you how to play it w/o vocals and w/ the solo for the piano just itself...rlly helpful =]

  • omg this is so good. thank you so much!

  • That was soooooo cool. Thank you heaps.

  • Thank you and you're welcome.

  • man wat keyboard is that?I mean the name, I wanna get one like that

  • It's an EMU X-Board 61 MIDI controller... keep in mind it doesn't have any sounds on it at all; you would either have to have a sound module or be running whatever software synth program you want on your computer.

  • this is very helpful! how come youre so good, do you actually play the piano or record music or whatever?

  • Thanks! I just play for fun and practice a lot.

  • you are the best ;D

  • amazingg! thank you so much<3

  • wow.. tnx a lot...

    :)

  • You're welcome.

  • You're A Beast! Great Job!

  • Thanks a lot

  • thank you man, You are the best. Very Good work. One question, What the program of piano you use for to do the tutorial?. Very thank you. I sorry my english very bad. Thank you

  • Are you talking about the piano display at the top of the screen? That's a program called MIDI Piano and it takes the midi data from my keyboard and displays the notes.

  • very good. Ok, thank you, ;)

  • Thank you, great tutorial!!

  • You're Welcome!

  • GREAT JOB!! Thanks for the wonderful tutorial!

  • omg thats soo good

i play by ear 2 but i can never do the chords lol i juss do the single notes nd stuff ...but ur really good =)

  • I wish I could play too by ear. Very nice and useful

  • this is really awesome ! i love the thing at the top :D really helpful.

  • that's awesome

  • Thank you!

  • I thought it was really good except for the Chords were very hard to understand. But it sounded really good!!

  • You have an Em7, Badd9, Gb, and Db... with the digital keyboard display at the top you can pause the video and see the chords note-for-note... they're pretty basic chords. But thank you for your comment.
