Napoleon was NEVER part of the attacking force. he suffered from problems in his gut which caused his daily pain. he was either on his horse commanding from the rear or at a table at the rear commanding the troops. he never actually took part in the combat.

I'm sorry but, I as an American will say that Napoleon would win by a long shot. This show is obviously highly biased. George Washington wouldn't of beaten the British if it was a complete war, he would of lost. George Washington wasn't good enough to conquer, Napoleon was one of the best at it. Not to mention George had trouble disciplining his men. It's harder to win at attack then it is at defense and the American revolution was completely defensive. Napoleon would of won.

I think is not only bias, but it is very offensive or disrespectful to even think for a second, that the greatest general in warfare history could be beaten by someone, who is only known in north America, or might be more famous for being on the strong American dollar, then for his war tactics. Napoleon is read and studied everywhere in the world,his tactics are still analyzed. Once again, very disappointing and very offensive to one's intellect, this episode was. What a joke this was!

In history, I learned that George Washington was infamous for his incapability to win battles. Like, he was a bad general, and that's what I was taught. Napoleon, however is the fabled leader, considered an Anti-Christ to many. II mean, he started as a nobody, and ended up taking France for his own.

@IgnorantBliss92 well George Washington didnt have all the resources that Napolean had to win battles and George Washington was facing the greatest military force at the time with basically armed farmers and was able to last in the war and eventually win it, Napolean on the other hand had massive armies of trained soldiers and some of the best equipment and didnt achieve his goal

They say bad things about Napoleon and nothing bad about George Washington. I gotta admit, I like the show, but this episode is biased in favor of George Washington IMO. For example, George Washington wasn't the best at commanding cavalry, but this is never mentioned. Napoleon sacrificed many men (mass cav charges, infantry attacks in columns) because he saw no need for conserving manpower, as conscripts would simply take the place of the killed.

And they say how Napoleon's rifle sucks yet in Europe you fight in lines so aiming is kind of useless. The American Musket is slow theyd get one shot off against the french's 2-4 shots maybe more if the soldiers are well trained. Also like you said napoleon could sacrifice men against George's small amount of men.

Also keep in mind that Washington had 2 guns: a musket and a rifle, against Napoleon's one musket. Obviously G.W. would win that round. They fail to mention the Napoleon had rifles as well; every army had some skirmishers in their forces. The Old Guard would tear apart any militia, and whoever has the best cannons has a higher chance of winning battles. The sim. for this episode is also incorrect, it should have been 10 guys, not 5, it's way too small like that.

Plus COME ON 5? really? there trying to play it like modern tactics. You need 10 - 20 men for a small battle. Plus napolean would never just have 5 dudes and a random cannon lying around. The only reason George beat the british is they ignored change in the old ways of fighting. Napolean would change his tactics everytime he learned something.

@dlfynrdr at least in my opinion, i think it is either because of the camera or copyright. The camera could have recorded in a mirror like way, or he did it purposely to lower the chance of having the video removed due to copyrights. Either way its still watchable and a very great show :)
