I recently found your videos which are very useful and lots of fun to watch.
Just out of interest, why don't you show the flash on camera and its output power in your diagram?? Nearly every video I have seen so far does not include it or the settings.
hi love the tuturials, real help. I noticed you use a lap top.......nice touch, as you can see in bigger format the results. apart from a lap top what other bits would i need to use this ie cables wireless?
I can't thank you enough for your incredible video tutorials. I like to think of myself as an AOV trying to find my way in photography. I have doubts like everyone, and your videos have helped me feel more confident and want to continue making beautiful images. In this video what size shoot thru umbrella do you use, and do you prefer a particular speed light for most of your work? Best regards, Brad
I noticed that in your diagram the flash unit mounted on the camera is not drawn. Are you using this unit just to fire the pre-flash in order to control the other two? Please explain. Another thing you might consider in other videos is increasing a little bit the font size of the legends in your drawings.
My favorite subject to shoot is faces. I did not know that a head of hair and removing the close-ess could be so striking and glamorous. And the swirling hair with no view to the eyes was marvelous...who knew? Again, thank you for the small details you mention in your videos.
@quicksilver19tv Thank you! No, I did not have a modelling light. It might look like that in the vid because there is a lamp under the ceiling pretty much where the umbrella is. But in reality that's not working at all as a modelling light.
Hi :) I'm somehow new in studio photography, so bare with me a bit :)
have two questions:
1-in the setup for this photo, is there speedlight used on the camera itself?
2-the umbrella above the model, why there is a continues light coming out of it, isn't this a speedlight?
thank you :)

Hey quick question your diagram had two lights but it looks like the one on your camera is going off
slimnupe4 1 year ago
@slimnupe4 The flash on camera just triggers the other two flashes. It does not contribute to the exposure.
