I think this awakening can only be achieved when you are certain there is a better life after this one. And how can you be certain? You cant. Your mind can fool you no matter what. These people speak intelligently, but I am not sure to believe them.

Thank Providence that teachers are becoming more clear and down-to-earth. I realize gurus with huge beards and funny hats and vague sanskrit meanderings, and crowds chanting, worshiping and kissing feet is a cultural thing for one culture, and fine for them, but for me it just gets in the way.
