if someone wants articulated megazords or robos, they should get the retrofires or just deal with it.

actually this isn't the first megazord to not have a sword as its primary weapon system, the ninja megazord from 1995 doesn't have any weapons! Yeah it had the Shogun sword in the movie, but that's the shogun's sword, not the ninja's sword.

i don't know if anyone told you this before DX but you can see very, very briefly the jaguar's eyes in PRJF. It happens during the jaguars transformation to the Jungle Pride Megazord's left(?) leg. but i think it's only shown in the long versions and it's very easy to miss. And great review btw! :)

Because the dialogue in PRJF doesn't match what happened in "Jyuken Sentai GekiRanger".  GekiBlue was very much about style, and accordingly his Geki Beast reflected this by creating the sunshades since all Geki Beasts are the physical manifestation of a person's individual jyuken.

But in PRJF, it takes no effort to summon a Spirit Zord- they just pop out of a Ranger and that's it.

I just wanted to comment on how you mentioned that the Jungle Pride Megazord is the first Megazord to not use a sword. I just thought of some that were released before Jungle Pride that did not use swords. No, the stripes didn't mean anything, even in "GekiRanger". Notice that Geki Tiger/Red Tiger had 3 orange spots as well, so that negates your theory.

Also, I looked into it, and you have to look EXTREMELY close but when GekiTohja/Jungle Pride Megazord are form, the Jaguar's glasses go up VERY briefly and you see its real eyes.

Well, it's not really the first Megazord that doesn't use a sword, (I'm sure you know that) but it is the first Power Rangers season beginner Megazord that doesn't use a sword. (that is if you don't count the Ninja Megazord from MMPR season 3)

I think there is an reason why Bandai did that because of fears if the light up fists would short out and the stamp control other wise at least its based on the original Japanese Gekitouja and is the same size, same paint and details minus the light up fists. While the Jungle Master Megazord is a repackaged Gekifire and its the same as the original Japanese version.

this Toy DEFINITELY reminds me of Lion Voltron.

a definite copy: yellow and blue lions/cats for the feet and the opening mouth to form the head.

Voltron was even a better figure than this.
