The daughter is young and she loves her mother, her priority right now is probably to protect her. Hopefully as she gets a bit older she'll realise that it wasn't her dads fault that he wasn't there, and she'll give him a chance.

This is exactly the intent of kidnapping. Hurt the other parent and have the kid's loyalty all to yourself, all accomplished by taking advantage of the innocence of a child. Sick!

@JessioChalleno This is just the dad trying to get his revenge on the mothers, she lived openly in the UK and did not even change her name, the dad had all the time in the world to find his kids, he could of flown to the UK to see them but choose not to, his a pathetic man. If my wife took my kids, ill find her first before any other Law Enforcement agency.
@steph2k10 I'm pretty sure the father didn't find out until fairly recent years that they weren't even in the US. Tracking down a person in another country is very difficult to do. Do you have any idea how many "Eileen Clarks" there are in the UK? It would be in the tens of thousands. The UK is very vast and Eileen had zero contact with her ex-husband to indicate where he would find them. The kidnapping of US citizens by a US citizen from the US warrants a US trial don't you think?

Shows you just how biased our society still is. If the father were to do this, everyone would be on the mother's side hunting him down all the way to the gates of hell. But when the mother does it, she's made out to the ultimate victim. A loving father has every right to be a parent too; they're no less important of a parent than the mother. The fact that he's been looking for his kids for over 15 years says something about him -- there are some kids out there whose fathers who don't care...
The mother is insane, and John Clark was put through 15 years of hell. I can't imagine Dr Phil turning down Eileen Clark if she ever wanted to tell her side of the story. But if you read her interviews in any of the British papers, she makes inconsistent, vague, absurd statements. Maybe she's smart enough to know she wouldn't be getting anyone's sympathy if she took her story out in the open.
