I think its hard for them to get over the fact the Eritreans fought for the Italians against them during the colonial period.

He was accused of hit and run. Its alleged the man he hit died and Teddy was taken to court and found guilty. Most ppl feel his case was not substantiated by facts and that gov't jus used that as an excuse to put him in jail casue of his views of woyane. Teddy sings for unity and has vocalized his opinion of the current gov't quite often, hence why he needed to be silenced.
