  • the exercise at 2:43 is insane lol! nothing for beginners

  • THIS IS true gift, where ever u go.

  • Looks like your forgot the pullthrough, though that may not be applicable to this video maybe :?

Good stuff here, never thought of burpees against walls before :?

  • Glad you like this stuff.

  • Great vid, some cool ideas I'm gonna use. Thanks.... Yay burpees!

  • Thank you for your comments.

  • say someone does burpees for 5/10/+ minutes ... are burpees as effective as running is to improve someones fitness?

  • Sightly different energy system are used.

  • what do you mean? please explain, as I am intrigued :)

  • Burpees will work our upper body as well as parts of your core and lower body while still giving you the advantage of keeping your cardio up. However, there is no substitue in terms of cardiovascular fitness for running. Having a good cardiovascular foundation makes any workout not only easier but more effective. Please keep in mind that running long distance has better cardiovascular implications than sprinting a hundred meters a few times each day.

  • Thank you for your comment.

It all depends on what you train for.

  • Sprinting a hundred meters a few times each day is a pretty terrible way to go about anaerobic conditioning. Other than that, an aerobic base is good but it's benefits stop entirely when you start hitting the realm of heavy anaerobic work; i.e. sandbag drills, sledge hammer tire swings, etc.

  • @TripolisUnited Long distance running isn't as good for your heart as sprinting. It makes your heart actually too efficient, and over time puts greater strain. But if it's necesscary for what you do, you have to do it. Interval training is the best for cardiovascular health as well as weight loss.

  • oops meant to thumbs down this

  • lol.

Running is way easier than burpees unless you're sprinting.

  • Burpees are more unaerobic and running is aerobic.

  • what muscles would that first one u did work?

  • Most leg muscles and pushing upper body muscles.

  • this stuff is SICK! this 54 year old massive ball of corpulence couldn't do this in a million years

  • With training her could.

  • and not a dumbell in sight, gr8 vid

  • No dumbell, no barbell.

    Thanks alot.

  • That is what we are here for.

  • The best burpees sampler video.

  • Thanks man.

  • Will there be a third video. I know you have beyond burpees and beyond burpees the uncore. Will there be beyond burpees three?

  • Burpees!!!

  • Yes, burpees.

  • Love this burpees video.

  • Great video, registered as a BWC member today and I've always been hearing that burpees are the best exercise cause it works both upper and lower body.

These variations will be very helpful, but I'm wondering, is it okay to do burpee exercises everyday?

Once again, thanks for posting this video.

  • You got it man. Thanks for registering.

You can do them every day, if it's only small amount. If you are going to go all out, give it 48 hours to recuperate, before another workout.

  • ahh i see, so would doing burpees and skip rope conditioning 15 - 30 min before a main workout routine be okay if i did it almost every day (5 - 6 days a week)?

  • That depends on how many burpees you would do in a set and how many sets.

  • it would be along the lines of 30 seconds skip rope, 30 seconds as many burpees as I can, repeated over 3 minutes, then rest, and repeat that again and again until its 15-30 minutes... so it's not really typical sets and reps in this case.. but would you recommend an amount of sets/ reps to be done daily?

  • Small book of body weight conditioning by burpees in here.

  • Wicked, I'll add those squat pull ups to my excersises

  • Burpees can be fun with your creativity.

  • They are.

  • This is one of the best Bodyweightculture videos. Go Bodyweightculture!

  • Thanks bro.

  • I will never complain about doing burpees again!

  • parkour burps! i likee. its niceee

  • lol i was thinking the exact thing when that part came up :P

  • thank you :)

  • You are very welcome !

  • Thanks for viewing and feed back. We are thrilled that you share our passion for this stuff.

  • Thanks for all ideas! I just did the Burpees and Pushouts against a couch. It's fun, it makes it a little more difficult because of the suspension.

But make sure the couch is standing against the wall! It nearly costs my beautiful smile. :-)

  • Ha ha. What about if you miss with you hands and push against thin air.

  • just don't. :-)

  • Ok, I won't. :)

  • Outstanding variataions. I'll be trying some of them out tomorrow morning. Thanks for putting it out for us.

  • Excellent info.

  • You are freak'n amazing...awesome bodyweight ideas. Well Done!

  • one arm burpees jesus farcan christ

  • Wow they look like frogs jumping around ;-)

A side note: what about doing the moves a bit slower so as to take more care of the joints?

  • hardcore stuff right there! Wish i was strong enough to do some of these things :(

  • Fascinating stuff! You guys are total, elite body control. Very impressive.

  • Strength training builds strength specific to the task practiced. If you only lift weights, you never get strong at the things you all the time: Moving your own body around. This is where it's at.

  • seems alright, i like having both strength and raw power/muscle tho.

  • Fantastic! Neen doing a compound lifting/parkour program the last 6 months. After years of weight lifting I thought going back to body weight exercises was silly, but boy was I ever wrong. I have gained more muscle/tone from this style of conditioning, in combination with heavy compound lifting, than any other program I have undertaken in 7 years of serious training. All the while, i am more flexible, and functional.

Keep up the hard work guys, this stuff will change the world of fitness.

  • Thank you for the warm words and encouragement. We do for people who undertand the point of all this.

  • really good vid, was looking for something to shake up my workouts, will make some personal variations but hell is a good base to work from, well done.

  • that's awesome, squats and pushouts mimic the scrumming action almost perfectly definitely gonna show those to the team.

  • Awesome stuff!! Really, who needs fancy toys to build strength? Primal conditioning baby.

  • cool movie, I got some new imput on my training.

  • eminems voice makes me want to puke...

    good video tho!

  • this video is a ton of help. ive been searching for bodywieght exercises and have come up pretty thin. but this video gives me more examples than all the stuff ive found put together. thank you :)

  • You are very welcome,

that's why we do it. :)

  • very nice stuff

  • I never heard of burpees before, I saw them alot in there, what all do they work out?

  • Depending on which specific exercise, they work different muscles. Together they offer a well rounded conditioning routine.

  • nice variations on squat thrusts.

  • Thanks for these really cool training ideas, I'll be sure to try them.

  • you guys are badass!

  • Awesome! that is one hell of a f%ckin playground. mine sucks! some good exercises filmed in the ghetto!

  • holy awesome excercises batman!! Wow, i need to get off my ass and do this kind of stuff! Really awesome.
