I like these guys almost as much as lp and as for their music they're not copying and I say this because their songs to me have their own twist to them. LP have a lot more musical experience, LP are way more aware of what they want to do and every single piece of their creation is unique. They don't repeat their work, and that's what they definitely don't want to end with: same music than before.

Back-On is a great band, but they always try to do like LP.. LP is one of their most important inspiration, and it's obvious. But they won't ever be "better" by copying.

Overlooking the rap-sung verses, using the exact same flow (though, to be fair, most rock-rappers use the exact same flow), both have a very similar, short, glitchy opening, and have the same chord progression. More than that, the short, instrumental break right before the first verse is IN FACT the EXACT SAME short, instrumental break that plays right before the first verse in LP's "Faint", except inverted. Same rhythm too.

The first songs I heard from them were "Chain" and "Hikaru Sasuhou", which sounded awesome to me, but this song excites me in a different way, because it sounds so much like Linkin Park's "Faint", one of my favourite songs.
