  • Genius.

  • @urbansculptures

I'd love to see your work.

The current Chicago Cultural Center show, Louis Sullivan's Idea, has some amazing photos of LHS's terra cotta sculptor, Kristian Schneider, and his workers producing the ornament.

  • @1kayhauck I do have a web site, just add the .com to my name since youtube doesnt allow urls in comments. If you've seen the Sullivan bank in Grinnel IA with the 50" tall winged lions that were destroyed, and replaced recently, it is that winged lion that caught my eye and I am working now in fact on preparing to model one like it in clay very shortly, but I am researching the best clay to use for this massive a model. I figure about 800-1000# it will take.

  • I cant wait to see this film. Louis Sullivan was a genius who continues to inspire!

  • if Sullivan was alive today he would definitely not be broke. R.I.P. Chicago loves you and you will forever live in our architecture

  • I like th violin in the back ground.........

  • I don't want to brag, but my violin teacher is Michael Mclean. He wrote the music!

  • You should brag as much as possible because he's a brilliant composer and musician! Thanks for watching!

  • PROPERLY SUITED.....NICE SCORE FOR SURE

  • @carbine781 = you should brag. It's so beautiful I've played it many times in a row!

    What is the title?

  • I am still addicted to this music. Sounds like a movie soundtrack. Wow, moving.

  • @carbine781 this is philip glass' the hours soundtrack. the track is called 'why does someone has to die'

  • 'have' :s

  • Breathtaking genius, breathtaking AMERICAN genius.......

  • cant wait for it !!!!! the trailer is promising and the filming stunning!!!! great work .. by the way who is the director?

  • @marianstefan1 Mark Smith directs.

  • The Louis Sullivan documentary looks VERY interesting! He was a brilliant architect but had a sad end due to alcoholism and very few commissions late in life but he continued to design some gorgeous "jewel-box" small town banks throughout the mid-west. Some of them still remain. Do you know if the documentary will be shown on PBS stations?

    Mark in Madison, Wisconsin

  • i am so looking forward to seeing this

  • Thank You! I can't wait to see the film. Sullivan was the greatest!

  • This is going to be amazing.
