I know this Vid is old But I have a question about this. I was told by a buddy of mine saying that the only way to get the Ultima Weapon (the Weapon) was to kill that ugly thing.

Funny thing. I found a copy at my local gamestop and I am curently playing trew it, I found the Weapon in the sealed cave and I am trying to figrue out if I have a Hacked game or this is the strangest FF I have ever played.

Even tho u can use reflect rings. and Volkerdogg is right the Ragnarok as the blade was much stronger and u can still learn ultima but i was wondering where u can get the Illumina because i have Save The Queen but idk if thats the 2nd strongest blade or if it is the Ultima Weapon. @ILuvSauce13 To get the Illumina you need to bet the Ragnarok at the Colosseum, to get a Ragnarok you need to either choose it over the Esper when talking to the old man in Narshe or steal it from one of the enemies on the 3rd tier of the Final Battle.

This was my first FF game and I adored it. I could NOT get enough. The plotline was very good, the dialouge was well thought out... I personally loved Terra's backstory, her being half-esper and all that, and she was always in my party. The summoning system was really nice too. This was the first ever game that I actually beat, and I was so proud of myself. I loved the entire soundtrack, especially Kefka and Ultima's battle theme.

98% of the people who say ff7 is over-rated DID NOT play it when the game first came out. Of course the 14 year olds today don't understand how incredible the game was. It's over 10 years old and has a better storyline than dookie rpgs like magna carter 2, star ocean 4, and infinite undiscovery. I was 11 and got it for xmas after the release. The FMVs blew EVERYONE away.

But as I got older and actually played through the game, understood the storyline, learned to use the materia system and found all the secrets, I learned how awesome it was. 3 is not actually 6. They passed this game onto the american SNES players because the real 3 was too hard for americans. I was pretty upset when i found that out LOL. The real 3 was for the first nintendo while 6 came out for SNES in Japan.

Far more original, Atma is sanskrit for "world essence" Ultima is just latin for "most" or "greatest" Did they do away with the Atma Weapon equipment in GBA version as well? Atma was the result of poor text space, Ultima bosses are a tradition in FF and this was one too, even in Japan since the beginning. The GBA version just gave everyone their real names except for the playable characters.

That topic is up for debate, 7 is surely the most overrated game SE's ever made. Best though, would either be 6 or Super Mario Bros 3 or Mario RPG almost nothing comes as close to being as good as those two games, and you'd be hard pressed to find a game that can come close nowadays. I personally think they should release every FF across all 5 platforms (handhelds included) so that way everyone can enjoy the amazing story of the series without worrying about what console to get it for.

7 isnt overrated. The graphics were amazing for its time, the story telling and dialogue was very well put together, the battle/materia system were very accessible and player friendly. The Characters were diverse and the story itself was very complex and emotional. Otherthan 6 no game has ever made such an impact on gamers aroun the world. If you were to replace Shadow, you wouldn't be able to get him in the World of Ruin. If anybody should be replaced in this party, it should be Terra. At this point in the game she is probably underleveled and lacks the ability to do large damage. MY party at this part was Locke, Edgar, Mog (best healer at this point if you have Sun Dance), and Shadow.

Lol...even with the weapons he has on Locke in this video, at lvl 50ish to 60ish with offering and genji glove you should be able to hit over 9999 when you add up all 8 attacks. As with all other FFs, magic is rendered obsolete at the higher levels due to overpowered melee attacks that can hit multiple times.

Max damage for the ultima spell is 9999. With X Magic it would be doubled.

By the time you get to Kefka's Tower, Locke should be able to hit 9999 eight times with his normal attack.

My Locke was at level 60ish and had his strength and speed maxed. Combine that with Genji Glove, Offering, Atma Weapon, Illumina, and some sort of speed boosting spell, and you have a character capable of killing any boss in the game before they get a hit off on you.

Be very careful if you going to attack HIM in the Kefka tower. You can only win using Ultima magic, the most powerful magic spell in the game. If you fight with no ultima then you will lose periodically.

weraslolreeee...while the esper Ragnarok DOES teach Ultima, you can also turn the Cursed Shield into the Paladin Shield and that will also teach ultima. Getting the Ragnarok sword instead of the esper is a better path because you can use it to get Illumina. (The best sword in the game.) Locke + Genji Glove, Offering, Illumina, and Atma Weapon(sword) = Kefka's purple angel form down in one hit...Any questions?

You can still get the sword by stealing from the third tier during the fight with Kefka, and you can save all your stuff after the fight in the GBA version. That's what I did and now I have both a Ragnarok and Lightbringer/Illumina.

If it took you level 70 and higher to beat the SNES version you must be "stupid and retarded". SNES and GBA are the same, just different names on spells and dialogue. This video is just to show how easy Atma/Ultima weapon(again the same boss) can be. I wasted the boss on both version using the same characters, same setup and same characters.
