I play guitar and bass.also I have seen them play this song live.onda yoshihito(the bassist) and asanuma takuya(the guitarist) are not playing connected to any amplifier.maybe igarashi kota (the drummer) is playing along with the track.but for some reason at this time the producers didnt want them to perform live on tv.maybe they wanted to keep the original sound.but they played this song just as well 100% live.

Also, shit... you're right. I forgot he was a dude. Shows how much I know about one of my favorite bands :D The guitar does sound a lot like the studio version... but I don't see why they would have two band members actually perform, and two fake it, wires and all. Also, I think I can see some amps in the background on a few angles.

of course they need to have amps and plug them in. everyone would know they r not playing if they didnt.but it doesnt mean there is any power going in to the amp.if you watch them play this live in other videos its much different.just like most bands they never play the song exactly like the record when they play live.
