This was my favorite 45 when I was in the AF. I remember a jazz guy saying that this music was just a fad and remember my reply that "I will still be listening to this when I am 60". I will be 71 next month.
Unbelievable....i have seen these robroys with Norman many times, they are and were fantastic, they worked well with him. These are one of the finest robroys i have seen.
I saw this group at the super-spectacular two day event last month at Hauppage HS on Long Island. They and Norman are every bit as good as they were in this video from nearly 20 years ago. Obscure groups like the Continentals and the Fidelities performed spectacularly.Got to talk with Jimmy Gallagher, Herman Santiago, and Marshall Sewell, the great bass of the Edsels, out of retirement. To you doo-wop enthusiasts, I cannot implore you enough to see your favorites before its too late.
Hey, I'm the drummer (playing just a kick and snare drum) and that was The Ambient Band. We used to back virtually all of the groups on Ronnie's shows.
Heard this many times as it is my favorite doowop. There are others but this one is up front. First time I've ever seen them. Big thanks for the video. They're as terrific as the song!
Great song, not to be confused with "I Wonder Why" as one comment revealed,by also excellent Dion. This song is absolutely tops - A killer sax break and the "Chop Chop Chop Chop" backing is totally to die for.Certaily as great an uptempo doo-wop song as "Trickle Trickle" the Videos and "Shirley" by the Schoolboys. Swing Heaven's Trillogy !

Yeah. They sound just like the 1957 recording. The sax bridge, too. Wonderful!
