When I was a boy growing up in the black community of St. Augustine Florida I was syrrounded by gifted black female singers who sang this song. Many a day i sat and listened as my aunt accompanied one of her students on piano as they evoked the spirit of god singing this beautiful passionate song. My next door neighbor Blanche Hammond

Part 1) The first time I heard Yolanda sing it was Ave Maria and I cried. We became friends. I then heard her sing in a concert hall and was more blown away than I had been before. The venue you're watching was recorded in a small cafe. Yolanda was holding back because of the size. There's a part in La Wally when performing in a concert hall she will step back a few paces and still cause the microphone to overload. You are watching a million dollar Lamborghini Reventon acting like a Volkswagen.

OMG! I l o v e this! I sing along to this almost e v e r y d a y ! I am a 15yr old boy and I love using this to strengthen my upper range (puberty was kind enough to give me the ability to sing bass and still allow me to sing high in natural voice)

Would you sing lullabies in future dates? You would sing beautifully in the Mexican lullaby that Placido Domingo and his mother sang together. (you can find it here on UTube).
