If they do decide to to the sensible thing (for fans) and make a straight to DVD movie to tie up all the loose ends in the canceled TV series, I think this should be the ONE incarnation of Spider-man where he actually ends up with Gwen and she doesn't end up getting killed.

This MJ version is fantastic. No icky Dunst MJ here, but a cool one that captures imo the true party girl of MJ. I'd really like to see Peter with this perfect MJ (this Peter and MJ make such a great couple during that fall ball), but I still like Peter and Gwen. They got it completely right. Gwen's supposed to be Pete's first true love, w/ MJ after. They're both Peter's true loves imo. They're just setting it all up. I really like Gwen. I think Liz has her own spidey sense or a "Gwen sense." It seems everytime Gwen get's close to Peter that she pops up and Peter acts like an attention-challenged dimwit and does whatever Liz says. I hope that they don't do the cliche Gwen-death, honestly Spectacular Spider-man seems to play with the Spider-man comic plots in their own way and I'd feel disappointed if they went with something so predictable.

Um, you have your comic history a bit messed up. Peter and Gwen were in love at the time of Gwen's death. She was killed to make room for Mary Jane, who was a fan favorite at the time.
Considering the creators of this show are sticking to the 60's Silver Age, I suggest you get used to Gwen. Considering she was his girlfriend up until 73', when she died.
I don't know...I mean her new design is more practical for her age and the time that the show takes place. But she did look alot classier in the original comics.
@Klaudio2099 Personally, I find Gwen without glasses as being disappointing. What i liked about her *was* (before the last few eps) that she didn't try to look like the other girls, retaining her glasses and look. She was someone always watched your back and always cared about her friends first.
However, towards the end of the series, the studios took her old look away and redesigned her a bit. Now, she looks like every single ordinary girl in the show.

PPl really wanted gwen with peter BUT later on ppl really started to support mj over gwen because she was more exciting than gwen. So mj did become more popular than gwen. But the reason she was killed off he says was because they did not know what else to do with her since they did not want a married peter then.

Ok my dad who loved comics when he was a kid and loved spiderman told me back then when the love triangle was a big thing. PPl really wanted gwen with peter BUT later on ppl really started to support mj over gwen because she was more exciting than gwen. So mj did become more popular than gwen. But the reason she was killed off he says was because they did not know what else to do with her since they did not want a married peter then.
