  • what's better? the juno di or juno gi?

  • so cool...

  • its better than korg x50?

  • got one of these for my band. highly recomended. and it can take a few knocks on the road.

  • School has one, I use it all the time... Oh and 2:55...

  • hi...

can u help me choose between yamaha mm6 and juno di.... (preference~effects and sounds) and if i try to extend my budjet.... and go for korg m50 will it be a good choice??

    thanks a lot..

  • if you alredy have recording capibilities and access to VST's i dont think there is any need to pay considerably for a Juno Gi. Also i think the Di may be newer?

  • What is better juno Di or juno G?

  • @godistv G of course... theres more features and is more expensive, but juno di can be very usefull like a juno g

  • Pls Can somebody tell me which is the better, the Roland Juno Di or Roland GW8?

  • @Emilienn84 it is totally different think..juno di is synthesizer ,gw8 is arranger-workstation..it has a few synthesizer things but it is for other use..

  • how much is this?

  • @NickjaBoysInc nevermind

  • Hello,

Excellent demonstration for this very well "young" synthesizer

    In the big sounds!

    Thank you

  • what sound is (1:37)???

  • what's the better synth? the sh 201 or this?

  • @yoGregg0ry They're two completely different synths. The SH-201 is a "Virtual Analogue Synth". It's designed to replicate classic analogue synths. The Juno-Di is a modern digital synth designed to cover a wide range of music styles. It covers everything from acoustic to digital.

  • Hi!

Please, What song is played at 1:16?

    Thnx

  • @rsobrinho77 Joe Jackson - Steppin' out

  • @rsobrinho77 Joe Jackson, Steppin' Out

  • @rsobrinho77

    last.fm/music/Joe+Jackson/_/Steppin'+Out

  • @slipknotprasant I am in a band with some friends and was hoping to find the Juno di for a low price. Would you know any places? Or have any tips? Thnx

  • What's the name of that classical part he's playing? I really like that song, I hear it a lot but don't know what it's called or who composed it. *call me silly*

  • i also have this synth and i m impresed

  • im considering getting the Di or Juno g. anyone want to guide me to which one i should get? i have enough for either one, but im not sure ill use the G to its full potential like the sampling/sequencer. is there any difference in terms of sound quality and the build quality?

  • @poopsmd Out of the box the audio quality and sound architecture is nearly the same. The pianos on Juno-Di are even better (partly).

If you want more presets or expansion cards (srx) in the future go for Juno-G. If you just need the standard sounds ready to play at a cheaper price go for "Di".

The keyaction and build quality is slightly better on Juno-G though.

  • @YuzoTibi Does the Juno G has a built in vocoder? If does I'll go for it. Cuz that's the only reason I'm considering the Juno-di. You know when playing live you don't want to have a huge stack of keyboards.

  • @poopsmd juno g = color screen for 300 bucks more :)

    - Sound quality: should be the same, if not a bit better on the Di since it's a newer model.

    - Expandability: both models can load new patches, but on the JUNO-G you can also install an SRX board which gives new waveforms, and it can import audio files as loops or drum kits.

    - Effects: identical, except for the vocoder on the Di.

  • I have thisd keyboard, the sound quality is amazing on each patch

  • whats that song called with the string at 1:30

  • It's called "Palladio"

  • hey thanks i totally forgot about this song

  • Nice

  • I played this today...the synth sounds are sweet! If you want to play some awesome prog like Dream Theater and Yes then this is a good buy.

  • Which 2 tones are layered in the strings-example. Thank you.

  • sponge bob Juno Di square pants

  • tried it yesterday. keyboard is spongy as hell around middle C ........ id rather have them make a desktop box...

  • I like sponges

  • so witch synth is the best to buy: the d or the di

  • Def the Juno-Di is the better way to go. It's such a huge improvement over the previous model. I got confirmation from Roland US yesterday that it's TRUE in that the Di's patches are coming down from the Fantom G line (and it also shares the same chip set with the SonicCell and Fantom X). The Di's ROM however is only a quarter of the G's..., but G quality patches on it :) Keep an eye out on the Tube. I've already ordered a Juno-Di and I'll be posting indepth vids on it once I get the synth.

  • i would suggest the di

  • GET the DI

  • looks damn sexy

  • the MAJOR difference is that it is a MOBILE synth... great sounds but can run on batteries! 4-5hrs on batts... great for busking or just gigging/practicing with a mobile stereo cube with your band

  • HAs the juno Di the same effect and sound-modules as the Juno D?

  • No..., sound set is new on the Di. Its a 128 note poly sound engine based on the Fantom-G. Even the MFX section has changed too. It's a completely different board when compared to the classic Juno-D and Juno-D Le... "I'm patiently waiting for mine to arrive" Roland needs to hurry up and ship the bloody things to the US (I pre-ordered through Sweetwater)

  • what's the difference between the juno d and the juno di?

  • i'm trying to decide between SH-201, Juno D, and this

    help?

  • This is one of those "apples to oranges" comparisons. The SH-201 is a VA synth NOT designed to emulate acoustic instruments. It's designed to replicate vintage analogue sounds. The Juno-Di is a 128 note performance synth with a Fantom G based sound set. It's designed to cover a wide range of music styles (including emulating classic vintage sounds too--however, it won't produce those patches as well as the SH-201 would because the 201 is designed specifically for that purpose)

  • alright man, thanks a bunch!

this is gonna be my first synth (guitar player of 2 & a half years)

i wanted something that can do acoustic instruments so i can learn piano and expand my knowledge of music

how do you know so much?

    lol

do you work for roland? cause you left like, 3 huge comments XD

  • You're welcome. I guess the reason I know so much about this subject is because I've been playing keys now for nearly 30 years and have owned many boards over that time. I've also owned MANY Roland keyboards over the years too :) I do often get asked if I work for any of the big three keyboard makers..., but I don't. I'm just an old school synth junkie who has owned a lot of keyboards over the years.

  • haha

    badass.

  • Major differences between the two models. Di now has a 128 note Fantom G based sound engine, USB file player, mic jack with vocoder, bigger better screen, data dial and full directional buttons, battery power, complete comsetic overhaul, USB jack, AMAZING software editor, Favorites feature, Super Layer feature, audio in jack. Even the patch/peformance mode along with the entire patch modify section have changed. They're two completey different boards now. I pre-ordered one by the way :)

  • 2:09 The filter resonance on the Juno-Di sounds better than the resonance on my good old XP-30 (which technically belongs to the older JV-series). I guess that - over the years - the increasing CPU speed allowed to improve the internal parameter processing/interpolation or something.

  • Nice tweeks technically, same old sounds musically. I have the Fantom G and the grand piano does not sound as good as the Fantom X's grand.

    WOW!

  • AND when they tell you the engine is based on FLAGSHIP FANTOM G.. they are full of it..... even the Flagship sounds old and recycled..... Roland get off your asses and make something Revolutionary....THE SOUNDS ARE OLD AND TIRED..... all you do is add some exciter to old samples.

  • i agree..... its the same-ISH sounds since the JV days.... they do recycle and recycle.. the only thing that changes is the bells and whistles... who needs that...SOUND MAN SOUND. ... when they start making filters like WALDORF or VIRUS.. i'll go back.... this piano to me sounds like my JV 90

  • well, it is

    a. not a virtual analogue

    b. cheaper than the virus

therefore it is supposed to have filters as good as a virus why?

  • Exactly! It's not a VA synth.., it's a "budget performance synth". It makes no sense to read a complaint about the filters on a budget synth not being up to the level of a Waldorf. Geez., if that guy wants Waldorf quality fitlers.., he should just buy a bloody Waldorf then :) The Di's not designed to function as a VA synth.., it's designed to cover a wide variety of music and not focus on just one area of synthesis either. It doesn't need Waldorf quality filters.

  • definitely. if you don't like it, don't buy it. whining gets you nothing.

  • whining gets you attention

  • attention is empty when gained by negative means.

  • positive, negative; it's still attention

  • How many times can these synth companies continue to recycle the same old sounds?

  • maybe, forever...

  • where's that Bert fellow to demo this he's brilliant....this demo is a bit flat!

  • So you can put USB memory thing to the synth for backing tracks and also connect to computer with USB? Thats nice.

  • Demostration super, est genial,le son est super,Synthétiseur Roland Juno-Di est super aussi,je voudrai un acheter aussi un,Clés USB,et Vocoder,Félitations pour se modéle de Synthétiseur,j'attendais depuis longtemps.Encore Bravo ,Didier.
