  • Thats good stuff. My only consideration would be the take down. I've been taught to always assume that an attacker will have buddies someplace so rather than going for the leg i'd stay on my feet and take him down.

  • @Ballowall Grapling in a bar room situation would b daunting indeed.

  • Thank you very much for sharing your very interesting and informative videos, of course thumbs up.

  • Great vid!!!

  • Very wise...great job!

  • Awesome! Those are all very effective strikes. Two thumbs up

  • oss!

  • thank you for sending me this video.

  • Yes, that chop to the throat can do serious damage if you want it to. But all you're doing is hitting him hard enough to get him to react to it, so you can move on to something else. You are not trying to kill anyone, just buying yourself some time . Anybody should be able to control that hit to the throat without killing them.

  • Lethalchickenent thanks for your comment. Let me tell you why it is important to use overkill. I know of two situations in my area where an experienced martial artist & non experienced martial artist had an altercation w/ someone. Both, the experienced martial artist & the Average Joe beat their attackers but allowed their attack to get back up. That is when the attacker pulled out their weapon and used it, both men were killed. Passive training gets you DEAD. Food for thought.

  • @SelfDefenseAwareness That punch can kill... If I kill someone in a fight, no matter where I 'm. Guess who's going down for manslaughter or murder one? That's right me. It does not matter what someone might have done in fight, after you have kill them, to the Courts. Good story about having weapon pull and kill two. Think about it. You can't kill anyone. Because, you think something might happen later on in the fight. I sub ya.

  • @SelfDefenseAwareness

    Amen, Sensei.

  • I like this technique alot. quick simple and leaves the guy stunned. While you are out the door.

  • Nice, effective, no nonsense approach. Thanks for sending me your video and keep up the good work.

  • isn't it no longer self defense AFTER you already took him down to the ground AND kicked him in the groin (everything after that is overkill)

  • @lethalchickenent depends on the situation. if the attacker is weilding a weapon, extra damage may need to be applied to prevent them from using the weapon.

  • Thanks for sending the new video, I agree totally with the element of surprise and the effect striking to the throat will have on the opponent. I'm not too keen on the going low to the ground to take him over which may cost you a kick in the face from his mate or someone who fancies joining in. However it's a good technique for a one on one match fight! cheers for sharing!

  • five stars.

  • nice.....

  • Good advice. Katrina & Sloane
