i'm glad to see that Pokemon made the list, but the most defining moment from that series (in my opinion) would have to be at the top of Mt. Silver in Gold/Silver. Climbing the mountain to find Red at the top -- the "kid from 3 years ago" that everyone kept talking about -- was just epic. And the music was a great fit.

I might as well explain the Gitaroo Man thing. I'd say this is major spoilers but the game is about 10 years old and there's videos of it everywhere. During the last to final song in the game you have to fight this girl who U-1 (that's his name) really doesn't want to fight. So he basically gets his ass kicked by her. After which he then stands up, makes a big damn hero speech and plays the Legendary Theme which sounds absolutely beautiful. It's personally my second favorite song in the game.

id say the first temple in fallout 2 was a bigger deal. fallout 1 wasn't that tough. fallout 2 made you work just to get past the TUTORIAL LEVEL.

The shady guy pays you 500 caps and a luxury suite to repair/activate the inactive nuke in the center of town. Then he gives you the remote to bomb the city from the window of your luxury suite.

As far as #1 goes, trying to be spoilerish, Johnny had a good point of nostalgia, of it being the first game most played, but the whole lead up to her death was built up very well- her interactions with cloud, learning more about her after she left the party, and most importantly is her theme playing when it actually happens, as a 10 year old or so playing the game, not seeing many movies at the time, it was my first moment of a tragic death.

I wouldn't have it as #1, i can see why it is though.
