isn't it ironic that the people this movement hurts are those trying to get to/from their jobs, the people that can't get assistance if they have an emergency, etc. etc. sounds like the 99% is really only hurting the 99% (remember, the cops are 99%'ers too). my heart goes out to the person who had a heart attack, called 911, and got put on hold because some asshole wanted to block intersections. i get the point of the movement, but the strategy seems like it wasn't thought out at ALL.
I don't understand all of the hate towards OWS. "Hippies" "Get a job" etc etc.. these people on OUR side. This whole nation is asleep to the idea that something is wrong.

@Kiddo11467 No, the Occupy movement isn't about destroying or replacing capitalism, it's about reforming it. Reforming the Federal Reserve so that it can't give the banks $7.7 TRILLION in secret loans by printing free money which devalues our currency and creates inflation. Reforming politics by reversing the Citizens United ruling which defines corporations as people and allows unlimited campaign contributions by lobbies and special interest groups.
I love the Occupy movement and support Occupy K Street. I like the message of this action. Unfortunately, many of the 99% were inconvenienced by the traffic disruptions. I would suggest Occupying the office buildings of the lobbyists themselves for a future action, and finding creative ways for the 99% to be positively involved. Something to bring up at GA?
@floodjoe You must not be a critical thinker. Blocking off one road, even if it is the ENTIRE road, does not stop 'ordinary people' from getting home. There is not one street for every direction. There are parallel streets. Have you never taken a detour?
@nonymousaa I live in DC just blocks from the encampment. The OccupyDC turned downtown into gridlock from lunchtime until late in the evening. In addition to people trapped in cars, thousands of bus riders got caught in the mess. 16th and K is where several major bus lines come together, serving poor people. OccupyDC doesn't care about the 99% - they just want to yell in the street.
