en vind dit nog altijd goeie muziek greets sandra

  • ich liebe diese FRAU!!!!!!

  • @badman2252: F# Major!!! If I could, I wood.

  • Her performance never made the final cut when this went to VHS for release..I can see why.

  • ...it's your Soul, Sugar...

Know this woman's Heart...it's something else!!!

    ...back where I belong...

  • This performance, ritchie havens, and pearl jam were the highlights of the night

  • beautiful, sexy, outstanding !

  • There have been very few covers that I have embraced. One is Tim Hardin's of (lonesome) Leonard Cohen's 'Bird On A Wire.'

Bobby and Sophie: This is one of the best!

  • ich liebe diese Musik

  • dAMN I wish I was ur

  • Simply gorgeous. I lost the video from 1992.

Thank you. Such much. To see her again.

  • Really good version. But Isn't she Dana Scully with optical lenses?? ;-)

  • what a talent! <3

  • @badman2252 this comment hits it right on the money... HOT!!!!!

  • rock on

  • sophie... i want you :)

  • Great, funnily enough it is one Dylan song we don't hear often enough.

    Thanks for the post

  • hot hot hot performance...my hair stands on end still after watching over and over again...hypnotic...can feel the heat!

  • @badman2252 `ha ha i think women sing DYLAN the best . i was a mod in belfast aged 14 i heard my brother play this song , i stood outside his door and thought who the fuck is that, he ruined my life lol

  • If anyone wants a near perfect rendition of this song. Sophie recorded it for her live album the "Bad Kitty Board Mix". She ad lib's some of the lines near the end but nonetheless a great cover whenever she sings it. This is the song that turned me on to Sophie. She remains A very talented singer/musician/songwriter/performer to this day.

  • Yeah, made the hair on Dylan's neck stand up so high that this performance was actually cut when this tribute came out on video. Sophie B. and Eddie Vedder were my two fave performances of the entire night. Hope IF it ever makes its way to DVD they put this classic back in. I still carry my backstage pass from that nite in my wallet.

  • i love this song:P

  • @badman2252 The original video was even better. Set in Paris. Sensual, Erotic, Romantic, and very classy. I wish someone would repost it.

  • This is a hypnotic performance, how the hell this did not make the released CD, I'll never know!

After another few hundred watches of this. I'm struggling to call this music anymore... the performace, the vocal, the intensity....Dylans' lyrics + Sophies' rendition = art.

  • bob is sexy

  • check out Sheryl Crow singing backup!

  • If Bob Dylan would like this so much, why was it not included on either record or vhs released?

  • Wow!!!!!!!!!

  • i totally agree. i get so emotional everytime I hear it I have to be for myself a couple of minutes to just... get together again. Big love to Sophie

  • I go back to the days of seeing Dylan in Greenwich Village....although this song was written much later....I've always been a Dylan admirer...and Sophie definitely has taken this song to a different level......I would think Bob loved it also!!

  • I want him so bad......I'm waiting for "a simple twist of fate". I heart RK

  • You're right - you are the only one.

  • Not the only one. Believe it.

  • I haven't seen this since it was first broadcast and now I can't stop watching it. indescribable ... perfect... brilliant!!!

  • a shame that its not on the anniversary cd

    thanks to bobs bigotry

  • from 3:30 on -in 40 years as a Dylan fan I have NEVER heard a better delivery of Dylan's beautifully tangled lyrics.

This must have made the hair on Dylan's neck stand on end.

    Superb performance, young lady!

    Superb performance

  • 4711StGermain:

Thank you. You took the words right out of my mind. This is one of the greatest Dylan covers of all time (and it's on her first CD). But let's not forget Patty Smith's epic version of "Changing of the guards"... and Mira Billottes "As I went out one morning".

  • @4711StGermain Actually I heard that Dylan hated it and refused to put it on the album/DVD...

  • Check out pre-fame Sheryl Crow singing back-up.

  • This is a fabolous version and Sophie is amazing.

  • this would've been a great concert. love this song.

  • she sang happy birthday to me a handful of years ago in SF... she is awesome!

  • OMG Shophie is bi...Like I care. great music.

  • lol gees who isn't these days anyway. shes awesum

  • Every time I watch this I love it even more.

  • ja. so do I.

  • she made the song sound diffrent ..... in good way

  • I wasn't born to lose you....Man, that's a great line, Bob.

  • Never get tired of this one, way to go Sohie!

  • As if it had been written for you... just fabulous.

  • notre fils de 3 mois l'adore,et je n'en reviens pas

  • This is beyond HOT.

  • I am speechless , wel done Sophie .

  • hey check out cherly crow as one of the back up singers

  • Dylan's original version (LP "Blonde on Blonde") is terrific. But Sophie B. puts an entirely different spin on it, SEXY!, a semi-strip down-on-your-knees version. Obviously Dylan was put off either by her performance or by the fact that Sophie was (is?) somewhat bisexual. Ol' Bob has always been something of an "ass-achein' puritan," as Tennessee Williams calls it. In any case, this brilliant version is not available on any official CD or DVD. Thanx to YouTube for including it here!

  • +10

Sophie BURNS on this original interpretation of Dylan's song performed in '92 at Bob's 30th anniversary concert, which Neil Young called "Bob-Fest." But the ever puritanical Dylan didn't allow this song either on the official CD or DVD of the concert. BOO!!!

  • Wow. Isn't life a funny thing. Who'd have thought it at the time that a couple of years later after this that one of the backing singers (at 5:47 in) would go on to become as big as rock stars usually get.

  • who is that? I can't figure it out.

  • Are you kidding?

Her name begins with S and ends in heryl Crow

  • I dedicate this song to Hot guy that lives by me. He has no idea I have a total crush on him. Should I go knock on his door? They say love doesn't come knocking on your front door but for this guy it just might. :)

  • I would..whats the worst that can happen?Better him to turn you down than to never know what mightve been..who knows? You might find your Soul~Mate GL

  • this is not on the cd version of the concert. of all the songs to cut, you cut this one? Poor choice, Columbia. Extremely poor choice.

  • te amo sophie

  • My gosh, she's totally amazing! And this song makes the small hair in my neck stand... uhh.. LOVE IT!

  • wow, the way she sings that song is absolutely delicious. i could watch it over and over again!

    sophie is unbelievable.

  • always liked this lady.

  • sofie pwns ur mum! ;-) LoL

  • She was so beautiful in the early 90's

  • A song about longing, although she did not write it Sophie performs it like it was her own.

  • was there won tickets from local radio station great show

  • Of all the covers I heard various people do Sophie's is by far the Best one. she has made this song her own. I've seen her perform it live amazing!!!

  • absolutely great... tears my heart...
