Whacky but I watched it ...?? Mines a May Tag it spins at 2000 no problem . You can slow it right down to ( I think 200 ) for a hand wash cycle .. :-) oh and no problems at all and it's 4 years old ..

Three of my family all have the Ariston washing machine - they have the 1600 spin and I have the 1400. We bought the same machines 5 years ago and they are still working perfectly and have never had to be serviced.

So far; the best track record of any washing machine I've owned over the years. So I'm not sure they could be considered crap.

lol ... i luv your repeating of the 1-6-0-0 spin speed and the emphasis of HOW fast it is ... lol.

car engines tick over around 800-1000 and go to about 6-8000rpm when yr driving, so its not really very fast at all.

loadsa machines spin at 1600 ... even quite cheap ones nowadays ... its getting pretty standard.

1800 -2000 is a bit rarer and deserves and bit of repitition and emphasis lol.

Thanks. True, lots of machines are 1,600rpm these days, but it is quite fast, lots of people have machines that are 1200 or 1400 rpm. I sold this ariston a month ago and now own a dyson contrarotator. Have you watched my dyson videos?

They are budget machines. I now own a dyson contrarotator, which is quite a bit better built.

It is super silent during the wash, you hardly know it's on. It's not super silent on full spin, no washing machine is, but It is quieter on full spin than lots of other machines that spin that fast. Most of the noise is vibration, because I live in a second floor flat.

i hav a miele w487 and it spins at 1800 and its very quiet. it was professionaly installed, i also live in a flat and the installer built a solid platform which is bolted to the floor and the machine sits in that. its very very quiet and only vibrates a little...i wud call it super silent if i cud hear it! )

I watched a video of a miele w487 on it's fastest spin (Posted by suite500) and it is really quiet, just about the quietest around. My ariston A1636 has a brushless motor too, but miele are more expensive and better built machines than ariston and more stable.

Don't you have anything better to do than criticize someone's hobby? I've owned over 20 washing machines. My first moved around the room when I left due to being unbalanced. The second leaked. The third was an Ariston. Since then I've become more interested. This isn't just a washing machine, it's physics, it's engineering, it's art. What's your problem?

Mine uses a super silent brushless motor like yours. Although your washer is newer than mine, maybe the newer super silent motors are even quieter.

Yes, mine is 1600, the clothes are almost dry when they come out. You have a hotpoint wf220 don't you. I watched it's final spin, it's not as quiet as mine, but mine uses the same brushless induction motor that the hotpoint super silent models use.

It has got an ariston badge, but they are made by the same company that make hotpoint so In a way it is a hotpoint with an ariston badge. It's a good washing machine though.
