  • Damn at 1:04-1:05 that dude looks like dwight freeney turning into adrian peterson.

  • LMAO at Booty Head bump!!! 0:22

  • lmao at the brotha steppin at 0:07

  • "A fool and his money are soon parted."

Invest in something that doesn't have a shelf life. An education, your health, you girl (guy), kids, f'ing anything really. When 'x' is played out, faster than ever these days, you give them your disposable income 'y', which they invest better than you did to begin with. Don't be that person w/ the hot new shoes, big, tacky rims, whatever his cool now...cuz' it won't be for long and you still live as financially disadvantaged (read, "poor").

  • This kind of makes me wish Spike Lee made a sketch comedy show. Damn, imagine if he and Chapelle joined forces.

  • @TheDSil THAT WOULD BE THE SHIT

  • Back then it was Tommy Hillfiger. Now its Gucci, and Louis Vetton. Still the same bullshit all over again. ITS CALLED PRODUCT PLACEMENT

  • Is a "hill nigger" an actual insult?

I can't find anything when I Bing it

  • im the zombie that didn't get the message and only noticed the hot girl at the end sike!

  • : D : D : D

  • niggas in the geeto

  • alot of you seriously cant see the message behind this

  • As a black man...I think every black family should be forced to watch Bamboozled and Drop SQuad back to back once a year.

  • this was the best freakin movie ever, I swear!

  • Comment removed

  • I uploaded the entire film.

  • Wait. I think I remember seeing some Timmi Hillnigger jeans on sale.

  • "I find it ironical that Spike Lee gets preachy against corporations exploiting black culture, wasn't he the one advertising Air Jordan's and ripping off poor African Americans enticing them to spend almost all of their disposable incomes buying shoes? (Hell the crime wave which started robbing people of their new shoes is not even funny). Spike Lee is the real Timmi Hillnigger."

Where is Spike Lee? Answer Spike Lee. Answer Spike. It's ironical! Answer for yourself!

  • @airbrushedhottie He doesn't have to answer, any person that isn't smart enough to realize that Spike has come a long way since doing Nike commercials doesn't deserve a reasonable answer.

  • Keep it real my GEETOE

  • that was also the same guy who played pino's brother in do the right thing, right?

  • @sholeizugly No, that was Richard Edson. Timmi Hillnigger is played by an actor named Danny Hoch.

  • @J0rdanY0ung417 yeah i had to watch em both again

  • Hi, I'm Timmy Hillnigger, heeeeeeeeeeeeey.

  • You folks might be missing the point. Hilfiger and Timberland were both 'UNENTHUSIASTIC' about the idea of their clothes being popular with young, Black People. Yet, Black People continued to buy their fucking clothes.

Which basically explains other stupid shit like how Blacks consign that fat, Cop bastard Rick Ross even though He's phony as a 3 dollar bill.

It's been said that he that ignores history will repeat it. This generation has a lot of fucking up left to do if that so.

  • this is so deep...

  • I swear to god Timmi Hillnigger looks like Peyton Manning

  • @ninjarlou Lol, I know.

  • hahaha wtf

  • This shit is hilarious but sadly so true, people need to wake up....

  • OK am I the only one that notices Spike picked the most Jewish looking guy on the face of the Earth to play Timmi. Not an accident.

  • @orange2821 and it shouldnt be

  • I find it ironical that Spike Lee gets preachy against corporations exploiting black culture, wasn't he the one advertising Air Jordan's and ripping off poor African Americans enticing them to spend almost all of their disposable incomes buying shoes? (Hell the crime wave which started robbing people of their new shoes is not even funny). Spike Lee is the real Timmi Hillnigger.

  • @linxusims Yeah, and when Malcolm X movie came out, didn't he advertise X caps and gear to the African Americans. Spike Lee is the biggest hypocrite.

  • @cutup260 Watch the "Da Bomb" commercial, he's no hypocrite, he never advertised beer and liquor.

  • @linxusims Watch the "Da Bomb" commercial from this film, he isn't a hypocrite when it comes to advertising liquor and beer.

  • @linxusims There are parts in this movie where Spike even takes jabs at himself. Maybe this is one oft them. Have you noticed he doesn't do those types of commercials anymore?

  • @linxusims In reference to the Mars Blackmon character in the Nike Air commercials, Spike was REHASHING his character from his first film, 'She's Gotta Have It'. In the film, Mars talked about basketball often. The Mars character was only saying the same thing everyone else was saying about Jordan.

Be careful, you're on the verge of being a 'Revisionist'. The Hilfiger Corporation as well as Timberland made pronouncements that they don't want to be associated with Blacks wearing their clothes.

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO You make some good points there!

  • Timmi Hillnigger and tommy hilfiger are pretty much the same Thing, a product made by a corp that is embraced by the poor and want to keep a "nigger mentality" like they said "stay in the ghetto" luckily this trend is JUST NOW starting to die out slowly

  • It could be aired on tv, if the media wanted it to be aired. IT WOULD WAKE TOO MANY BLACK PEOPLE UP. Bad for business and oppression. And the clothing designers take advantage of Black people because BLACK PEOPLE LIKE TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. It's what we do. We glorify oppression and "the struggle". Revolution! Revolution! BULLSHIT. The world has heard that BS for nearly 30 years. It will NEVER happen. Look at the Latinos and Asians alone. They united in a way that Black people only talk about

  • @cocteautwinsfan

latinos and asian's american history cannot be compared to ours. they're immigrants. black people didn't come to this country on their own volition.

also, the 'revolution bullshit' has actually been around for at least 50 years. in the late 60s, black people united in a way asians and latinos DIDNT NEED to think about (and havent come close to matching, in america at least; mind you i'm not saying they were any less oppressed, it was just different)

  • Geeto

  • Wake up NOW

  • I can't wait for da day they show dis as an actual commercial.

  • TIMMY TIMMY TIMMY TIMMY HILL...NIGGER!!

    WAKE UP !!

    funny doe cos its tru

  • i'm not sure if you saw the movie, but that was the whole point of the parody, to show how he was trying to market to the "urban" crowd by taking advantage of the image of black people and black culture in urban areas. why do you think they called him timmy hillnigger?

  • Comment removed

  • LMAO! Tommy Hilfiger was upset about this and said Spike Lee owed him an apology...

Hilarious but the message at the end is deadly serious - overpriced designer wear is a sure-fire way to remain in poverty.

  • 125% authentic ghetto active-wear

  • sauce on the chick in the end with dat ass

  • LMAO @ 0:55 "Oh, all my niggahs wear timmy hillniggah. ahfellahhwieeeohhhhh, it's ghetto-ah-fabulous!!!" ...Ands that's EXACTLY how stupid our people look on BET and other shows and such as sisters disgrace themselves on rap videos.....The video was funny as hell, but it was a WAKE UP CALL MY PEOPLE!! STOP MAKING THESE MOTHA-F@CKERS RICH!!! This is what they REALLY THINK OF US. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE....

  • True true, especially when you've got the fools who are ready to kill or hurt another person for their shoes and clothes. Don't they realise how f--ked up that is?

You're nothing more than a slave to materialism and consumerism. Our ancestors never went through so much suffering to escape slavery for us to end up in a modern-age one.

As for the videos, it makes me question the self-worth these women have. A lot of them aren't even paid for that foolishness. It's free work for "publicity" smh.

  • @redbonegal The line is, "All my niggas wear Timmi Hillnigger, or they don't wear a damn thing at all." Still, it's like wth.

  • wow..

  • Yo, Poster, tag this video correctly. I youtube timmi hilnigger, can't find it unless i type in bamboozled. If it was found by timmi hilnigger, it would have had a million hits right now.

  • lol

  • That chick at 00:53

  • word

  • We keep it so real we give you the bullet holes!

  • KILL ME CAUSE IT'S TRUE!

  • Spike Lee is not as stupid as folks thought. He was fully aware of all your reactions toward this film----both good and bad.

  • I wanna buy some Timmi Hillniger clothes!!!!

  • This commercial is hilarious. When you're watching the movie, during shots of the audience during the Mantan episodes, you can see some people in the audience are wearing Timmi Hillnigger clothes.

  • don't take it the wrong way you dumb bastards this is a direct parody of the retardedness of tommy hilfiger and other clothing designers who take advantage of black culture

  • @trademarktaz nobody's taking advantage of black culture. You act like Timmy Hillnigger is putting a gun to black peoples head and forcing them to buy his shit,

    lol...

  • @trademarktaz but check it... mah fuckas be all up on dat shit... the wicked supply is there, and so is the ignant mah fuckas who bust a nutt to wear it....

  • @trademarktaz so you mean i cant design hiphop clothing because im not black? i love hip hop so i think im entitled to design my own hip hop clothes thats what i think.

  • I always found this part hilarious. This should act as a major wake up call to african americans buying all this name brand crap and still staying broke. I wish they could air this on TV

  • Exactly. Buying 150-200 dollar pair of shoes and you can't pay the rent, make the car payment, and keep the damn lights on. Triflin and bama! This what keeps black folks slaves to their clothes. Like Jesse Jackson said "Worry about what you put in your brain and not what is on your butt."

  • LOL. This reminds me of my cousin. He just bought weapons from his college loan money. smfh.

  • @NorDuVie

They'd probably wonder, "Is that a new store? I want clothes from there!"

    <;(

  • One of the FUNNIEST THINGS EVER.

From one of my favorite movies of all time.

    That shit is ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS.

    Btw he dances so gangster

  • you guys do know this is satire right? The whole movie is an indictment of gangster rap.

  • @KiljanArslan no - THIS shit is real life- and this is coming from a black man

  • dat girl at the end was SEXY

  • i just died when that guy got accidentally bumped on the head by that girl's booty dance. sorry.

  • well this is what we get for complaining that tommy made no clothes for black people

  • 2 funny lol

  • wait a sec, isn't that the bridge that appears on the dvd cover of the movie "Krush Groove"?

  • guy kinda looked like Payton Manning lol

  • Hehe..."gee-to".

  • "gee-toe active wear", thank you very much. heh!

  • this movie is educational and funny as shyt!

  • cuz i remember watchin this movie my junior year in highschool n i couldnt help but laugh i kno the movie was a seious situation but when this shit came on it caught me off guard n i forgot what i was watchn man teacher kicced me outta class 4 a minute cuz i was laughn loud n when i was n the hallway it still had me laughn but Bamboozled is by far my favorite movie everytime i watch it i learn something new

  • its okay to laugh its a dark comedy

  • i kno but i was laughing like hard jus becuz of the jingle lol n the ending lol i had to get control of myself lol

  • i know how you feel. it's a rollercoaster of grim and bleak truth with just the hilariousness of the absurdity of the situation and of racism itself in general.

  • People didn't watch the film because half of them didn't get it, and the other half don't like being criticized :). People are saying it was too hard to understand but I think it was actually too easy to understand, which is why people were pissed at this movie. If I was Tommy Hilfiger, I wouldn't be able to help but laugh at this film, cause even though I wouldn't like the fact that Spike took a shot at me, I wouldn't be able to deny the truths in his logic.

  • Beatlemaniac, 50 Cent was a nobody when this film was released. There really weren't that many clothing labels owned by hip-hop artists in 2000 at all, though I know that seems crazy since so many have labels now. Spike said it himself, at the time Hilfiger was just the biggest fish in the pond; he felt he had to go at him. And I think Spike had a couple more relevant films, they weren't necessarily good films, however.

  • I'd say 25th Hour, He Got Game and Miracle At St. Anna were all pretty relevant to me.

  • For most that don't know, this is a satire of the clothing article "Tommy Hillfigure" (or however you spell it).

  • TIMMI TIMMI TIMMI TIMMI!!

  • LOL!!!!! This is why I love Spike Lee!

I love how the white guy was dancing at the beginning.

But the truth behind this spoof is very sad. This is why I'm glad Lee did this.

  • Who cares if you heard black audience members criticizing the film? Make up your mind for yourself. Just because some black people don't like a black director's work doesn't mean it's suddenly cool or correct to agree with them.

  • It would've been funnier if they showed a hip-hop star shooting the commercial and his son asks "but Hillfigger doesn't sound like a white-guy name."

Bamboozled could've been a bit more subtle. It lost momentum when it showed the public enjoying the blackface routines.

  • When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I could hear the black audience members saying "what the fuck is this?"

One black guy behind me said "Spike Lee's gotta go back to film school."

  • You know what thats why the film Tanked at the Box Office.

Nobody could see the Satire and the Irony behind what Spike was trying to say about B

  • Nobody could see what Spike was trying to do. No one seem to get the Satire & Irony Spike was trying to look at. In Brands and Black People and they way they are Marketed too.

  • Despite the fact that a lot of people miss the mark (admittedly, it took me a lot of thinking to really understand this movie) this movie really does have a message, and it is an impressive literary work.

  • It's not that complicated. The spoof commercials like The Bomb malt liquor and Timmi Hillnigger are almost satirical infomercials aimed PREDOMINANTLY at African-Americans. You can talk about making change and continue the same actions yourself. That makes you a hypocrite and almost certainly leads to failure

  • WTF was with that chick at the very end!?! that part has always made my eye twitch...

  • SHE MADE MY LOINS TWITCH(fiendish laughter ensues as I wring my hands)

  • lmfao dude thats sick XD

  • Eww.....was she wiping herself on that car? That's nasty!

  • yeah, this is funny as hell... wake up. spike is a champ and smarter than google YO!

  • Simply BRILLIANT..Spike Lee is the greatest living American director

  • I had the priviledge of meeting and shaking Mr. Lee's hand at a closed curcuit meeting in VA in 1996 or 98 Hes is very nice person.

  • of course this comes from an idiot who thinks banal directors like Spielberg and Zemeckis are great..please like Scorcesse, Lumet, Wertmueller . Allen, and Bergman Mr Lee is an ORIGINAL

  • Simply amazing.

  • lol i remember when i was like 10 and tommy hilfiger was mad hot

  • lol what alota old people dont realize about alot of hip hop fashion company's is that they just like this LOOOOLLL. like gunit or rockawere or whatever dont even cost that much its them fucking white labels that got like $400 tags and shit on them

  • Yeah but its not always a white guy selling them that stupid shit! Most of the time its another black person profiting from it: 50 Cent, Jay-z, Sean Combs. Spike Lee has no sense of what a double standard is. His dark humor often falls flat, his satire is grossly insulting, and his dialogue is ridiculous (see: she hate me). Face it, Spike Lee is a has been director that peaked with 'Malcolm X' and has been going down hill ever sense.

  • I can agree with some points of what you're saying. "She Hate Me" was ridiculous and it lost me because the fact that he impregnated so many women overpowered the other side of the story that was based on "Enron". The two points in the movie didn't fit together at all and the frequent sex scenes were distracting from a valid point.

  • Most of that is image, bought and paid for by white executives and producers. These people have to get the money to make their product (be it music or film) from somewhere.

Whites executive produce the negative music AND the puppets that decry it. It's like they are literally creating the problem to make more money. The rap fucks with the heads of young black youth, they go out and commit random acts of violence, then the puppets whine about how bad young black men are. And the ratings skyrocket

  • This proves that Sike Lee is an over-rated director that prefers to speak before he thinks.

  • First of all, Spike Lee puts many intelligent and REAL-life aspects into his movies. You have to be blind not to realize that many people rather LOOK the part than LIVE the part. Some people rather look like they have money rather than invest and get out the ghetto. Don't start docking me points I SAID SOME PEOPLE NOT ALL PEOPLE.

I am black & many of my friends struggle with this. They drive tricked out cars in the projects & buy COOGI B4 they start a bank account. Sad but it is true.

  • sahit is funny as hell i watched it last year and didn`t laugh for some reason(was I high)

  • LOL continue to stay broke and never leave the ghetto lmao

  • Priceless. I love Danny Hoch. He stars in another great satire, WhiteBoyz. Check it out.

  • Spike Lee's really fond of lampooning hip hop with lame synthpop drums =) he does it in Clockers too. There's enough to dislike about the guy, but I like his habit of doing that =)

  • The funniest thing about this is that self-satisfied smirk on Timmi's face. Spike Lee talked about being confronted by Tommy Hilfiger, who was really offended by this.

  • Damn LMAO

  • I have another one for you peeps, CRACKERBU FOR THEM WHO TRIED TO WEAR FUBU

  • The movie is a great subtle atttack on gangster rap.

  • not only was it sublte attack on gangsta rap, but it was also a blatant attack on the materialistic apsect of hip hop culture, that's what makes this scene so good.

  • SUBTLE? lol

  • My thoughts exactly.

  • You'd be suprised how moronic people actually are in the real world. Most people wouldn't understand it if it was more subtle than this.

  • Yyyyyyyyooo!

  • This movie was so crazy. but it was so true though, you all should see it.

  • all of the neo nazis and those white racists, you know the ones that are always saying the n word here on youtube and talking shit have a black guy that they use to make bafoon videos. they call him jiggaboo jones. its real I shit you not!! how did they get a black person to actually clown for them I will never know but he does. I feel like doing what the mau mau's did to that fucker.

  • The movie is great...and the guy in the clip is Danny Hoch. He is great and this clip is mocking life and its realities.

  • geto haha

  • dont dude look like a broke reject peyton manning

  • It's called satire.

  • this movie is so good.

  • holy shit, i've never seen this. pure spike. yeah this is real subtle.

  • If you'd see the entire movie, you would find it's actually quite subtle. This is a parody clip that along with another one (a beer commercial) is hysterical but not really part of the plot. This is a great movie and it would be worth seeing it, along with two other Spike Lee joints - 25th Hour and Sucker Free City. If you still think that Spike Lee is doing "Do the right thing" over and over again you're really missing out.

  • hm. I have seen Bamboozled the movie, but it was in 2002, so maybe its just my bad memory for not remembering this commercial scene. I'll try to check 25th Hour.

  • 25th Hour is the Official New York City post-911 movie.

  • wow, spike is so subtle. really doesnt need to club you over the head or anything with what hes trying to say. fart

  • Could you please post the commercial for Da Bomb Malt Liquor? It lets you get yer freak on.

  • Da Bomb Baby Bomb Baby

    hahahahaha

its used to be on here awhile back

  • Chemical testing has found that Viagra doesn't work on black johnsons.

That's why OUR scientists have developed Da Bomb for you!

  • hahahahah this was funny as ever

  • is makes ya feel like a man yo, and it makes them bitches feel like natural women!

  • lol wheres that video

  • Hill-Niggah...lol

  • Lmao this is funny shit

  • this is an amazing movie, with so many observations about humankind, race relations and the media, you should be forced to watch this in America especially, and everybody might learn to get along a little better, and quit trying to put each other in boxes all the time.

  • dem shits wuz off da chain where can i get a pair of dem

  • the negro is the largest consumer of bullshit. they want every new shit right now

  • So true

  • you're realy missing the point you moron

  • As opposed to the oh-so-discerning tastes of middle class white youth? Riiiiiiiiight.

    Quit generalizing.

  • Indeed.

There is a later point that someone makes saying that Spike didn't need to beat people over the head with satire. The person that originally posted this is exactly why he should; because some people just... don't... get it.

  • I hate you because you are right so i have to diss you.

  • lol "my neegaz in the geeto".

  • Damn son...

  • lol word

  • spike's right on the point with this

  • Same message as in the move white men cant jump. You'd rather look good and lose than look bad and win.

  • might be

  • i thought that was peyton manning at first.

  • so did i
