It seemed so much bigger with the lights off, i remember when they had the bouncy castle in the back corner, me and my mate double dropped and put vicks on our nuts and jumped up and down for 2 hours, it was so painful but we were fuct up so it didnt matter.

Great people, great music and of course fantastic drugs back then. Zest was my intro to dance music so thank you Vennue 44.

Drive past it every so often,always wondered what state it was in.Zest,Renaissance,Vibealite,­my friday and saturday nights have never been fulfilled since.Me and my mates from Hucknall and Ravenshead always had great nights there.Good vid but very heartbreaking,gutted.At least my girlfriend has agreed i can buy it if i ever win the lotto.

I put this as my Facebook status the other day...

Saw the sad sight of Venue 44 (Renaissance Mansfield) being demolished today after years of being derelict. It still seems weird to think that building was once one of the original superclubs and the venue where Sasha & Digweed played together for the first time. I would have loved to have gone there in it's prime & the strangest thing of all is barely anyone in Mansfield understands that the place ever even existed.

Such a shame :-(
