I just love the relationship between Dexter and his father. The way he raises him and clearly loves him and cares about him, even though he isnt a normal child like everyone else. One of the best characters in my opinion.

This show is TERRIBLE. Seriously, go and watch The Wire and tell me Dexter is still awesome. Crap acting,lazy storyline - it's like Desperate Housewives meets CSI.

Its not comedic, it's a drama with comedic elements..Purely because of Dexter's Personality and the way he has to hide his true thoughts.

@mikegrung well i can see where you, and most other people, are coming from by saying that and i respect your opinion. But Dexter comes accross, to me, as more of a dark comedy with drama in it. But with others it comes accross to them as a drama with dark humour in it. You know what they say, everyone see's things slightly differently. ;)

I love the first season, but I've never managed to make the time to watch the following two.

Considering the state of things at the end of Season 1, I'm not sure how the plot could realistically withstand more than one following season... If I ever get around to seeing seasons 2+, it will be interesting to see how the writers extend the series.

If you loved the first season you'll love the seasons after that. And I didn't think they could move the plot much farther, but they found a way. And I'm glad they did.

Seaon 1 picked up from midway about six or seven. Season 2 starts slow but towards the end, say the last 5 episodes took Tv entertainment to unprecedented levels, simply breathtaking. Season 3 is had potential but ran out of steam towards the end.

Had season 3 been as good as 1 and 2 , I would have easily put it on par with other tv greats like the Wire and the shield and even maybe close to the all time great and my personal favourite- the SOPRANOS.

I officialy love your taste in TV...i watch a lot of TV and i consider Dead Like Me to be like possibly one of the best TV shows ever to be made. Bryan Fuller is awesome, i love his work on Heroes and i loved Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies...allthough they seem to get cut quickly though and that sucks...
