I've been a fan of C&C for a while, and i've never really thought that they were complex. For most RTS games you just have to get resources, make units then rush the enemy.
girlfriend likes those kind of games she's good with that strategy stuff, I'm more of the original halo gamers who is used to the shooters and stuff which is why I kick her ass on the FPS versions lol. But it was a pretty good game even though I fell asleep a few times because of the peaceful music lol oh and the cutscenes were pretty cool. :)
Halo wars sucked. This game was like the Sims games met halo. You don't get the feeling that you're actually in the war because you're only placing buildings and other army contraptions around and not really doing much of anything. Sure you can tell your troops were to attack or walk to, but it still doesn't feel like a Halo game.
@Ryanmiller70 Maybe not to you, but it does to me. Especially controlling a tiny squad of Spartan ll's and making them blow shit up. They look so bad ass when your base is under attack then you make your Spartans come back to the base and defend it, so you bring them back with a pelican and they just drop from the air and neutralize the enemy.

@CaH6633 They didn't make it for the PC because there is no way that it could compete with even the first Starcraft. You can only build 30 unites worth of units, all buildings have to be attached to your main hub, moving guys are a pain in the ass, and there are just overall less different units available. Any less factions. It's ok for a console game, but RTS's typically aren't made for consoles for a reason.

Sorry, but playing Halo feels to me like playing a combination of the Star Wars prequels and Power Rangers - but worst of all - Halo's level design is downright tedious!
Killzone is just a more complete game - as was Half-life 2 on the xbox. :)

the reason halo seems standard is because it is what originally made the standards. Before halo there wasn't rechargable health, 2 guns only carrying etc. If u look at half life (great game) you can see what it was like before halo. Grenades counting as a weapon, multiple guns etc. That is why halo seems standard

Its a great game not as good as halo 1. I never played 2 so i cant say anything but i wish they hadn't made it vista only on pc. Halo 3's campaign is nowhere as good as number 1 but they online makes up for it a million times. By the way it is very similiar to battle for middle earth 1 wich i also own

Amazing cut scenes ,but an rts for a console? You never really to see much of the battle and the dark shadowing is so annoying. It was...okay. It just doesn't live up to the legendary fps.

I mean Halo 1 was good, Halo 2 was a wtf and Halo 3 was a graphics spectacle. I think I would appreciate this more if it came out on PC because it seems that you can better manage them that way. Console games were never designed to handle RTS games as PCs do.
to put it in the most basic view; halo 2 was basically halo 1 with the continuation and a minor graphics update. it was no sense as interactive or as big of a hit as halo 1.
also the requirement for Windows Vista OS (at that point, it was really looked down upon) really discouraged any PC customers unless you're a die-hard halo fan.
not to put down the halo series, it is great, but number 2 was the black sheep of the crowd and it wasn't a good thing.
honestly, im not a die hard halo fan, but i thought halo 2 was the best out of all the halos, maybe the pc halo fans were let down, but most of the console players weren't, it had quite a bit of a graphical update, and the feeling was just great. The reason why it wasn't a big as a hit as Halo 1 was because Halo 1 was a fresh new hit that no one had no idea what to expect, so no one was let down
You obviously never played Halo 2 online. It was the most robust console shooter feature-wise until Halo 3/Call of Duty 4 came out. Only Gears of War dethroned it in popularity 2 full years later.
It had matchmaking, frequently updated playlists, player skill levels, 4 DLC map packs (all free), and an amazing set of modes and maps originally. The game was the FLAGSHIP of Xbox Live. Literally 90% of the players played it.
no, i have to disagree, because 1) it was NOT obvious that i haven't played Halo 2, in fact, on the contrary, I HAVE played Halo 2 and I must say that I had a better time on Halo 1 than I ever had on 2. The only thing I would say I enjoyed in a bitter sense was the graphics update but nothing else.

Halo 3 sucks its so over rated it takes 4ever to kill someone, terrible weapons, awful maps, missions are boring as hell, awful game. Although i do like strategy games and this isn't that bad i suppose but it isn't that good either

Amazing cut scenes ,but an rts for a console? You never really to see much of the battle and the dark shadowing is so annoying. It was...okay. It just doesn't live up to the legendary fps.

Couldn't agree more. The first one was great, 2-3 were just the same game with better graphics. Never understood the addiction people have to it.
Borrowed this from a friend, it's one of the most boring RTS's I've ever played. Sickeningly easy.

Halo Wars was the worst game i have ever played. You cant attack, but only order people 2. Halo 1,2 and 3 are alot better then this. This is not worth $100.

first of all its not 100 dollars. its 60$ for the regular and 80$ for the platinum. second while i do agree that the fps versions of the game are better the halo wars game i did enjoy very much. but honestly i much prefer playing with my friends instead of me being all alone. oh and if you dont like the game then please just dont comment. maybe your just one of those people who just dont like rts games.

I mean Halo 1 was good, Halo 2 was a wtf and Halo 3 was a graphics spectacle. I think I would appreciate this more if it came out on PC because it seems that you can better manage them that way. Console games were never designed to handle RTS games as PCs do.

to put it in the most basic view; halo 2 was basically halo 1 with the continuation and a minor graphics update. it was no sense as interactive or as big of a hit as halo 1.
also the requirement for Windows Vista OS (at that point, it was really looked down upon) really discouraged any PC customers unless you're a die-hard halo fan.
not to put down the halo series, it is great, but number 2 was the black sheep of the crowd and it wasn't a good thing.

honestly, im not a die hard halo fan, but i thought halo 2 was the best out of all the halos, maybe the pc halo fans were let down, but most of the console players weren't, it had quite a bit of a graphical update, and the feeling was just great. The reason why it wasn't a big as a hit as Halo 1 was because Halo 1 was a fresh new hit that no one had no idea what to expect, so no one was let down

You obviously never played Halo 2 online. It was the most robust console shooter feature-wise until Halo 3/Call of Duty 4 came out. Only Gears of War dethroned it in popularity 2 full years later.
It had matchmaking, frequently updated playlists, player skill levels, 4 DLC map packs (all free), and an amazing set of modes and maps originally. The game was the FLAGSHIP of Xbox Live. Literally 90% of the players played it.

no, i have to disagree, because 1) it was NOT obvious that i haven't played Halo 2, in fact, on the contrary, I HAVE played Halo 2 and I must say that I had a better time on Halo 1 than I ever had on 2. The only thing I would say I enjoyed in a bitter sense was the graphics update but nothing else.
Your statistic of 90% of players played the game is as good as 90% of players who participated in an open beta of Archlord also went back after it was p2p. It might be true... for the first round.
