What is the reasoning for chaging the lighting position while makig this creature? Ive never used mudbox. Just some questions whle watching this video.
Pay the programmers to allow your retopology paint to simply be converted to a new base mesh. And also code a wrap feature and subdivide the new mesh and rotopology done.
Please come up with better idea and simply pay the programmers to do it thanks. It will make things so much easier and less technical :) Thats the whole point isnt it.
In the old days you had to write each vertex and connect to construct a model?
I have a problem.I made a creature head from a cube. Now if i want to make the rest of the body, how do i do it?Im still new to mudbox so i dont know all the options.I was thinking of combineing the head with more cubes but i dont know if thats the way or if its even posible.
is there no way we could have substituted 10 minutes of fine tuning for 5 minutes on how you initially blocked the primary form in Maya and the other 5 minutes on how you did the eyes? Why is that this video SKIPS the eyes part?
I noticed now that either they added the eyes in Maya or Mudbox has the ability to add layers (like zbrush) and added it. Either way this video deliberately leaves out crucial "how to" areas.
@babamaal you don't require it; my old e3works tablet lost pressure with Vista, too, but I still do the same quality work as my classmates with big amazing tablets. It's the artist, not the tools.
@ThePj5000 Its not Autodesk bro, Skymatter created Mudbox, Autodesk mearly aquired the company, like it did Maya (which was alias|wavefront) 3ds (which was Discreet) Motionbuilder (which was originally Kaydara Filmbox) and countless others, The ONLY thing Autodesk create on it own was Autocad. And there monopolizing of aquired companies really was illegal but payoff made people look the other way.
THAT'S FUCKED UP!! I forced myself to watch the whole thing, and I must say, IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT! I'm speachless, I hope that you'll be able to carry on doing this for as long as you'd like. PROPS TO KENICHI NISHIDA!!!
HI in Mudbox what is the highest sud division level you used for the layers. Reason why is because my regular mac book crashes when i crank it up to 6 :(
The one thing I hate about a lot of these videos is that they always jump around where the eyelids are made when that's one of the difficult thing to model/sculpt.
Mudbox secondo me come tutti i sw autodesk è assai incasinato.
@vlweb3d You're right. This is the real deal. All the conference presos are dull as hell and don't show the meat of the programs. But this is quite useful.

i was searching how to do retopokogy in mudbox :D
but it was worth watching every second anyway :)

it seems strange that you'd have symmetry on while doing the secondary details. Was that for ease of texturing/coloring?

@Drakaran ok, I see you did turn it off in the middle of secondary, just later than I'd expected.
