I just bought 2 charcoal pencils to teach myself, what a great vid, this'll help, (and am I ever gonna get myself a putty eraser!) thank you so much for sharing!
fantastic tutorial. i love the mother and daughter examples. i know they were just quick and to the point, but man, good stuff brother. keep being a vessel!
Here in North America there's also Vine charcoal which is very fragile and produces a thin line. very good for light drawings, but doesn't produce the same dark line as willow/compressed charcoal.
Bobdavies88,when you use pastels,do you need a black sheet of paper?.I thank you for telling me the difference what a charcoal pencil and charcoal can do.(now I know why my charcoal drawings are terrible when using the pencil kind)thanks a million, you Rock^^

is it ok to use a normal erasor?
sient005 1 year ago
@sient005 the puddy (kneaded) eraser is so that you can get a finer point than you typically would with a standard eraser... being square and all
