  • what a magnificent tree, a real colossus i would say

  • every time I am in Johns Island I have to see the tree it is such a peaceful place. No one should ever cut down this beautiful tree.

  • Absolutely breathtaking.. I love the Resurrection Ferns on it too! The way it sprawls across the forest floor is awe-inspiring.

  • Very creepy looking i would not like to see something this in my backyard @ night, but yet its so beautiful!!!!

  • ive tried several times to post the link for the petition but it wont let me for some reason but if you do a search for the angel oak petition you can find it

  • Please sign this petition to save this awesome grand oak tree from developer building commercial/residential district, This development will surround & imperil the Angel Oak. The developers also want to cut down or harm 55 other grand trees so they can squeeze in as many buildings as possible! The development will also ask to fill in about 4 acres of wetlands, an important habitat for countless species of animals.

  • @Ladysensei - where is the link to the petition please. Can you post it or direct somewhere. Thank you

  • That is one lovely tree. It reminds me of Rapunzel for some reason. The droopy branches make me think of ridiculously long hair.

  • That's pretty cool, man

  • THANKS!
