Yes, many western women are beaten up by their drunken husband. But they are condemn, illegal under the law and morally unacceptable. But here, it is acceptable under Islamic law, morally acceptable and not condemn.
It's like the western countries before women rights law was implemented, domestic violence is household issue and the law should not interfere.
