  • Excelente... Bravo Mr. Barati.

  • Heifetz and Ricci couldn''t play this any better and the doulbe harmonics are flawless. Please come to london soon..

  • I like the sound very much. It's clear and light. i prefere this sound to compare with the sound of violin who make too much vibrato. I also like the version because high note are right. most of time even very good violonist make wrong notes.

I like the way he plays. It's clear, and fresh. Simple.

  • sublime and clear, but the harmonics???

  • Mr. barati...is clear and fantastic.....for my is now one more liste in You tube....Isaye is genial for Mr Baratis...

  • omg this is just amazing..... I want those hands !!!!

  • wow he's super good. and his violin in super flat(not the tuning, literally) so i guess it's tone will be broader and more powerful

  • Bravo! It is so wonderful and rare to hear such a musical performance from a young person these days. There is actual charm and nuance to his playing. Notice the relaxed bow arm moving from the shoulder. That how he gets that old school tone. Not the scraping sound produced from wristy bow movements.

  • It's still available at Cypres-records.

And just think of it: Mr. Barati was barely 17 when he participated in the Brussels competition. Hungarian violinists have something special. My favourite one is Denes Kovacs, who died in 2005. To my taste, on record his performance of the Beethoven concerto is only second to the one by Mila Georgieva (and maybe Mr. Barati's).

  • Awesome.

Menuhin could never play like that!

The question is if Mr. Barati can play an as beautiful Beethoven concerto as Menuhin...

  • Seriously? Wow... I'd take Menuhin any day, no matter how good this guy is(which he most certainly is), cuz I mean Menuhin is...well he's Menuhin

  • Mr. Barati played the Beethoven concerto at the Queen Elizabeth Competition 1997 when he won the 3rd and the Audience Prize. After the competition John Sidgwick wrote: "Kristof Barati's interpretation of the Beethoven

Concerto was one of the most beautiful and moving that I have ever had the privilege of

hearing." There is a recording from the competition.

  • you are wrong in your underestimation of menuhin

  • Phenomenal. Comparable to Menuhin I think... And that's a big thing, to be put in the same sentence

  • Brilliant performance!!!

(Thanks for bringing it to my attention "likemyviolin")

  • super congratulations good performance

  • Meraviglioso.

  • his last rose of summer is so incredible

  • Great, very clear.I think he holds the record for longest period of shut eye.
