easiest sound i find to cut is ahhhhhhhhhhh. its great to learn beginner cuts being that its a nice long sample, and for advanced cuts like crabs and orbits it gives you plenty of room to move slow at first and exaggerate the movements to get the mechanics down. pick up a copy of the dj qbert record super seal it has a whole side with great samples on it. the one i learned on was 1,000 mph back sliding turkey cuts.
your a good teacher. you made me feel smart because i knew everything you were saying. but if i didn't know much on the topic, then i would have learned easily.
I'm so glad he breaks it down. Taking bass out takes away the thump sound you get when your hand hits the record. Really like how he tells the parts that other DJ's don't tell. The behind the scenes stuff.
Hey ,nice vid by the way, I'm looking to get into Dj scratching and I was wondering where everyone gets their vinyl records I've tried to google it but couldn't find anything helpful. By vinyls I mean the straight music and voice vinyls like in this video I can find regular vinyls but I don't know where to get DJ vinyls. Can someone please help me out?
Thanks heeps man, taking the bass out made huge diff, can u explain a lil more on the volumes and cross fader you flick ever so fast, would love a demo video show how and WHEn to use the cross fader and volumes!
what u mean? You can choose 3 options, u can use it as a notmal jog, or as a turntable and use it for the sample mode. The other one is S5000, its belt driven
I am so happy to see that you still love youre turntables, youre so good at scratching wow, like before I didnt really like scratching now I do! I saw that you were keeping the music and the record apprx. at the same speed when scratching, is this neccesarry?
Im geting some Denon S3500 this week or next, maybe i shall do some movies to show effects and stuff, those cdj are very special cdj. The jog is actually moving like a normal turntable, they even got direct drive motors;)
Wow, way cool, John- by the way you have gotten alot better; Marked improvment for sure! How does an FX unit work, if one does not have any fx built in to their system?
Thank you so much helped alot

I got the s5000!! had em for about a yr now.
my fav <3
BrandoB 4 years ago
The reson i chose S3500 is that i dont like belt driven motors, also its a newer product so its maybe a better setup.
